Recently moved to midtown east, and wanted to try this spot. Love the atmosphere - intimate and friendly. LOVED the vegetarian sushi options, and at a great price around 3.5$ a roll. Will need to try the sashimi next time.

Small, with decent ssushi and kitchen dishes.. The lunch specials were varied and reasonably priced as was the house sake. Will return when next in the are All!

It's fresh and very tasty with quick service and an excellent value. You get a miso soup and choice of two sushi rolls. I love the spicy salmon and Alaskan salmon. Can't beat the price for lunch.

Had dinner here with a friend. The mixed bento box style menu was very tasty, plenty of food and good value. Service was fine and the place is clean. I'd definitely go back.

I discovered this little sushi restaurant about a 2 years ago, I find it to be the best sushi on First Avenue..the owner is very friendly, the prices are extremely reasonable.... just a great spot for lunch if you work in the area, the service is excellent especially when you have Sherri as your server, she is very friendly, very... Probably the worst sushi I had in NYC. The fish was ok, but the rice was not. Not expensive but I am sorry it does not taste good your rice. It seemed the rice used for the nigiri was 2 days old. I noticed a lot of people leaving the rice on the plate and eating only the fish in... More

I have been going to Suzu Sushi for over 10 years and the food is always excellent. It is a minimalist décor type of place but the food is real authentic Japanese and it is worth going there. It is not expensive compared to other sushi restaurants in the city.

Nice place for a sushi lunch. Started with a good soup, ended with a great sushi and maki. Freshly salamon and well prepared rice. Server was polite and fast. Would recommend it for a great sushi lunch!

We happened upon Suzu Sushi while we were wandering around Midtown headed to the Central Park periphery. We made a mental note to go back there in a few hours when we got hungry for dinner. Luckily it was open until 11pm (as most places are luckily) so we made it in time after a little walk around the neighborhood.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
