Amy's has been a beloved small business since its beginning. This is one of the shops that helped turn Hell's Kitchen around from a demilitarized zone into the hip neighborhood it has become. As a 21 year resident of Hell's Kitchen, I can attest to the continued quality of their products. I worked on Broadway for many years and we... More

Bread is my favorite thing on earth. What could be better than the aroma and taste of good bread ? My favorite Amy's bread has got to be the semolina rolls with fennel and raisins. The crunchy semolina dusted on the outside pairs perfectly with the sweet raisins and pungent fennel. It makes for a flavor sensation. Also very good... More

I stopped here for a red eye and a bagel when my hotel free breakfast was really meager. The young man who waited on me couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. They had H&H bagels that were very good, and the coffee was great. The items for sale and the bakery items looked great. I would head back here... More

This is a delectable place in Hell's Kitchen area. Must not miss the Pistachio croissant, onion potato roll and the fresh squeezed orange juice. The only flip side is that you can't sit and eat as there are very few tables and a big queue always. Try getting there early morning for it's a unique NY experience you wouldn't want... More

I ordered a smoked salmon on pumpernickel, and it was pretty good, but is was premade and not quite what I was expecting. Probably wouldn't go out of my way to stop here but it was alright.

Amy's bread continues to entice people by the variety of breads, sandwich varieties, cakes , cookies, and many other temptations. I always leave with a sourdough round for my husband and several temptations for myself. After all I did walk to Amy's!!! My usual treats are nut topped roll, chocoholic twists, and sourdough nut twists. Actually I'd prefer just to... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
