We came at 10 o'clock and had guacamole then enchiladas which we shared. Food was terrific. Service was wonderful and we had a booth in the bar it was very comfortable. DALE does not use gluten. Their menu made it clear that they are careful. Bravo

My wife and I live in New York but had not been to Rosa Mexicano for many years. I had a hankering for good Mexican food and margaritas and thought nostalgically of Rosa Mexicano. Unfortunately it was not what we expected. It was crowded on a Friday night but we waited only a few minutes for our table. I ordered... More

Always a good meal and a great time. More of a locals destination than the others in NYC and more intimate as well.

You may need to use the flashlight on your phone to read the menu here, or come equipped with a miners helmet. But either way you'll be in for a treat. The Guacamole is made at your table with the heat of your choice. After that just follow the advice of your waiter for a delicious Mexican food experience. There's... More

From the house frozen pomegranate margaritas to the guacamole made tableside to the variety of authentic Mexican dishes, a wonderful experience. The service was excellent!

On a packed house Saturday PM the service was superb from the no wait with reservations and immediate seating through the great native speaker waiter to the spectacular churros for desert. Each item - the best salsa I have ever tasted for dipping chips in anywhere I can remember - through the great fish tacos and carnitas were all made... More

This is not your average Mexican restaurant!! The menu is unique for a Mexican restaurant, the drinks are fantastic, guacamole and queso are the best we have had and the service was flawless. We will be back!

Terrific food in a really nice atmosphere. The Guacamole is the best ever tasted and matched by discreet and helpful service. Margaritas are a muse and the churros.is a perfect finish! Top marks.

I realize it would be a lot trendier for me to tell you that my favorite Mexican place has a name that cannot be prounounced and that you must travel extensively to reach it in the magical land of Brooklyn. I'm just not that much of a foodie, but I'm also picky and not easy to please. I love Mexican... More

Our flagship location opened its doors on First Avenue in 1984 and was bestowed with a glowing, two-star review from The New York Times. From the moment you arrive, old world charm permeates your dining experience through authentic Mexican colors and rustic folk art. Traditional amate gods greet you at the front entrance and brightly colored papel picado hangs from the ceiling. Corn tortillas are made on site and an exposition grill further seduces your senses. With its warm ambiance and outstanding cuisine, this Rosa Mexicano location has remained a perennial New York favorite for over 20 years.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
