This was our first time at Baan prior to a Broadway show. At first we were seated in a small front room against a white wall, but after viewing the ambiance of the room around the bend, we asked to be moved. The second room...was candlelit and definitely added to the NY experience. There was something for everyone on the menu. The staff was pretty nice and the food cooked quickly on the BBQ table. Everything was delicious. Such a hidden gym only steps away from the theater.More

Hidden in a smallish street, we enjoyed our very warm meals (in a rainy day). The service was perfect, the ingredients very fresh & flavoursome. Recommend to go early as the restaurant started filling up quickly around 12.

You'll have to hunt a bit for this restaurant, but it's worth it. We went after a Saturday matinee, and our friend was going to an evening performance, so it turned out to be in just the right place for all of us. The service...was friendly, and not rushed. The food was good. My only "ding" on the place is that the serving of kimchi was awfully small for three people, and it was also pretty mild kimchi. But since our friend had never been to a Korean barbeque place, this was a great way to introduce her to it.More

This was our first time at Bann Restaurant. It was my Husband's Birthday and we were seeing a Broadway show after the meal. The food was exceptional and absolutely delicious! They worked with our tight schedule. I highly recommend Bann Restaurant!!!

We visited this restaurant during NY's restaurant week. We really enjoyed it to the full! Starters were tasty and the maim course was a real treat : we barbecued our own food on the stove in the middle of the table, salmon and beef. Nice...decor and good service. Highly recommend!!More

A group of friends which consisted of majority black women decided to participate in happy hour at Bann last night. This used to be a favorite when we all worked near the restaurant. Most of us have moved to the east side so Bann is...not the obvious choice. Upon arrival about four of us grab tables and wait for two others to join. The front area where happy hour is held consists of a bar and a few tables & chairs around the bar. At this point we are the only people seated at the tables. The rest of our party joins and a waiter has yet to approach us. When asked if we can order, the bartender from behind the bar yells at us and says its happy hour and you have to order from the bar. This is odd to us as in previous visits this was not the case and there are plenty of happy hour spots that have waitstaff come over to the table to take orders. At this point we all one by one go up to the bar to order our drinks and small bites. After we have been served we decide that this will be the last time we come to Bann which is disappointing because the food and the drinks are really good. Then a party of 6 arrives all white happy hour participants and they immediately grab the remaining tables and chairs. You will never guess what happens next - a waiter goes over to get their happy hour order. We spoke with the manager and was told that it was a misunderstanding. At no point did that group of people ever go to the bar to order or settle their bill. Its seems very clear to me that Bann does not appreciate our patronage and we will not return.More

Firstly, the food here is top drawer. Tasty and interesting plus not too expensive. The staff are delightful and friendly and helped us choose exactly the right amount. Slightly let down by what appears to be a building site outside and the restaurant is a...little drab. No aircon either the day we were thereMore

My wife and I like Korean food but many of the Korean restaurants have no ambience. Bann is moderately priced and atmosphere is fairly upscale. Food is excellent. Service is friendly. We have eaten at Bann about 7 times and can recommend it. Menu is...a little limited and ponchon coulg be more generous but highly recommend it.More

Delicious Korean BBQ with amazing dishes from Appetizer to Desert. I with the Lamb, which was delicious, but loved everything that was put on the table. One recommendation- Two can share the barbecue plates. As a small human, I couldn’t finish everything. For desert, I...would highly recommend this kind of BANNana pudding (it’s a real thing) and the Coconut Ice.More

Most Koreans and those who know Korean food enjoy cooking bulgogi (literally "fire meat") by themselves, but at Bann that is entirely optional. They are happy to cook the meat for you in the kitchen, rare, medium, well-done... More
