After 17 years on Sutton Place, I have experienced average restaurants come and go. This new surprise on the corner of 51st and First wowed me. Their salads are amazing...AND generous. I had a tomato and avocado salad ...more than enough for two people. Fabulous...flavors! I shared a Flatbread pizza with tomato, arugula prosciutto and mozzarella... light as a feather and plenty for two..While this place is a cafe, it is a cafe of the best...Casual, nice ambiance, friendly staff, great wines and beers....served in fun crock glasses. This is a fun, fun delicious addition to area! And I forgot, the prices are truly fair for what you get!!! That is saying something!More

The experience made extra special by our server Chrysa. To spend some quality time with wonderful friend after a hectic day's event, I was recommended Pathos Cafe. Indeed we had a great time brainstorming solutions for girl child education rights and many other pressing topics....The whole experience over the best tasting Salmon/Quinoa main course for me... simply felt great. Although the price is way over what I have paid in the most prime restaurants in mid-town, I still would go back with a friend or my foodie family just because our server Chrysa added an extra touch of personalization with her exceptional customer service skills.More

Pathos has really good flat breads. Service is spot on. We have a dog and often sit outside - a fresh bowl of water for our pup is always brought out.

You can get "mediterranean" style coffee there (meaning you can sit, drink and do nothing). 1st avenue is relatively quiet comparing to the rest of NY, so it sorts of fits the situation and location.

Enjoyed a business lunch here on this beautiful sunny day. Our friendly waitress brought us fruit infused water. My spinach salad with shrimp was very good and a large portion. Hope to return to try one of the flatbreads.

Stopped by for lunch and had two salads, one tomato and Avocado, mainly fully of tomatoes and the other salad with Salmon. No drinks and the bill with tip came to over 60$. Not worth it and very expensive for just two salads. Seating outside...but close to busy road and junction. Service not brilliant had to take bill inside as waiter was chatting. Would not go back.More

We had a flatbread as a starter for three of us and it was so big that we barely had room for anything else. But we managed! Super meatballs and grilled chicken, with a friendly and well-informed waiters. Seats outside and as one side is...on a side-street, it's a bit more laid back outside than some of the other restaurants which only have a 1st Avenue front.More

Pathos is a charming little Greek restaurant off the beaten path in midtown. The decor is very pretty and inviting. Our server was warm and attentive. We're Greek so we know a thing or two about the food. The spanakopita was very good. The filo...was wonderful and spinach filling very creamy and flavorful. The Greek salad was delicious. They use quality olive oil and fresh produce... the most important ingredients. Two of us had dinner and drinks for under $100... can't beat that in NYC!More
