We went here for dinner on a TUE night around 7. We made reservations, but it appeared there were several tables still open. Service was friendly and fast. The Thai iced tea was best we ever had. Mango salad was very fresh and delicious. Beef salad was also great, but spicy. The shrimp paradise was fantastic and the accompanying glass... More

Walking around looking for a place to eat after the theater and came upon the Thai Select which had been recommended by the front desk in hotel. This turned into an excellent dining experience at reasonable prices. All 4 entree's were excellent and everyone commented on both the food & service, would go back if in the area.

A good place for a casual dinner with friends and family. Food is good with decent service. Tried their Pad Thai (veg), basil fried rice (veg) and mixed vegetable in garlic sauce (veg) and it was all very well presented and tasted good.

We were a party of 10, on a Friday at 6 pm, before a Billy Joel concert. They were easily able to accamodate us. We ordered 8 or 9 dishes for everyone to share. Everything came out hot, together, and fast. The spicy food was spicy, the mild food was mild, and everything was tasty. The specialty drinks were very... More

I ordered the vegetable basil fried rice (medium spicy), and it was very good! The Thai iced tea was amazingly tasty! Everything seemed worth the price.

We stopped in after we happened upon the place and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. Our dishes arrived hot and nicely prepared, with fresh ingredients and just the right amount of heat in the spicy dishes. A nice, casual atmosphere with very good service by our waitress.

We had our lunch, Thai food is amazing, prices are mid to high range, service was fine, until I paid!! I left an okay tips, and that was all the cash I had anyways, but that angered a girl working there to the extent she walked out of the restaurant door and called us out!! I understand Tips in USA... The food that we ordered was not what we would expect from Thai cuisine. It was OK, not wow. The coconut soup was not spicy at all although we asked for it to be spicy. Green chicken curry tasted good. And Pad Thai with shrimps was far away from being original. It was too plain. I didn't enjoy the service... More

Ate lunch here on a drizzly day. Nice set-up in a crowded area for Thai food. Went with the Tom Yum and Chicken Curry and thought they both had good spice to them.

Thai Select seeks to thrill the New York epicure with Thai that's global, fresh and fun. Located in the midtown-west area of Manhattan, Thai Select offers healthy, modern Thai cuisine with worldly flare. Although the signature taste remains authentic Thai in flavor, the presentation might be a bit French in aesthetics, a bit Italian in portion and a bit Japanese in simplicity. With dishes like Kee Mao Fettuccini (made with whole wheat pasta) and Fruit Fried Rice (stir-fried with seasonal fruits), Thai Crabcake (encrusted to perfection) and Coconut Puff Martini (jumbo shrimp hand-battered in coconut strips), the kitchen selects only the very best dishes in Thai cuisine and only the freshest of ingredients picked from the farmer's market for our patrons; hence the name, Thai Select.

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
