I got a takeout from here one night and I have to say for the price you pay, they do fantastic sushi! Great miso soup too - give it a shot :)

Great BYOB sushi restaurant that's fun to go with your friends before an aggressive night out. The sushi is mediocre, but the vibe is on point.

Came here for a friends birthday dinner. Sushi is cheap in price and average in quality. Small place but def a cool place to hang out. BYOB which is always great. I've been to much better quality sushi places. This place is just average to me. What made it great on Saturday night was that it was packed and lively.... More

This restaurant was very small and cramped but their sushi was good. It is BYOB too but you have to spend $15 minimum per person if you do BYOB. Not a bad spot to hang out with friends before going out for the night.

I have been here over a dozen times. Although it is BYOB, we love to order the Kieren Light and house saki which is well priced. The house salad and shumai are very tasty. The sushi is good quality but after a while every roll taste the same. They also have a great happy hour deal before 7 pm I... More

Friendly hole-in-the-wall restaurant. Reasonably priced, fish seemed fresh. I prefer more traditional rolls and sashimi so I can't comment on their more inventive creations. The restaurant is small but I saw a group of eight having a good time. Go with moderate expectations and you will enjoy your meal.

A friend and I stopped into this place when we were hungry and cold after the Halloween parade. It's a small place, but interesting enough and they had a nice late-night happy hour going with the obligatory drink specials. The vegetarian options were pretty amazing considering with sushi there aren't many options other than the normal veggie roll, but these... More

Came here with a large group to celebrate and the service was horrible. Wouldnt give us more than one wine cooler to chill our BYOB even though we were a party of 12. Hastily took our orders and got very upset if people didnt order th $20 minimum. Asked us to leave as we were still eating our ices cream... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
