Blue Ribbon is an unassuming Japanese sushi restaurant just south of the giant Time Warner Center on W 58th Street. The decor is simple. Lots of wood. It's slightly dated and the service was kind of cool. The sushi however is first rate, fresh and clean and delicious. There are trendier sushi spots all over NYC, but for a nice... More

Sushi in Blue Ribbon were even better than in famous and much more expensive Nobu restaurant. Fresh, very tasty and beautifully presented. Visited 3 times during 1 weeks trip to NY. It is not a fancy restaurant, but go there for food, not for interior.

This is a restaurant inside the Columbus Hotel and it was the only restaurant we could find that was still open at 11:00pm. It is open until 2:00am. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, but a little too dark for a family and friends late night dinner. The wait staff appeared surprised we brought children to the restaurant. The food... More

Spent some time searching for some killer sushi in NYC. Found this little gem near our hotel. Amazing!! Sushi was phenomenal. Just wish that they had a wider selection of fish. I guess I have to remember that I'm not home on the west coast. Server was a bit dry with her service, but she quickly opened up once she... More

Wow, just wow. I didn't expect much when I walked in here, but the sushi and sashimi is one of the best I've ever eaten. This is just like sushi should be, the rice is perfect, the fish is fresh, the serving looks perfect, etc. The only downside is that this place can get loud. We've had some lady talking... More

Absolutely fantastic highest quality sushi you'll find in NYC. Nice bar with lots of space if you need to wait - they don't take reservations. No problem, our wait was short. Sushi was creatively presented but still traditional.

We heard many good things about this place, so expectations were high, and they surely delivered. We started off with the sashimi, followed by several orders of various sushi. The fish was so fresh and tasty, it really melted in your mouth. Would highly recommend this place and look forward to going back next time we are in NY

It was great to find out that Blue Ribbon opened a midtown place on my last visit to NY. I went there expecting good sushi based on my village experience and was not disappointed. We started with a miso soup and radish salads. The soup was very simple yet great. Then we followed up with several rolls - eel with... More

This restaurant is all around wonderful. I have been here twice now and really enjoy it. The staff is kind and the food great. I really enjoyed the egg with mushroom dish was great and the Dynamite was amazing. Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
