The Rockefeller Center food area was packed and I looked across the street and saw this restaurant and seating outside! We had drinks and the ostyer appetizer. Now this place is a bit pricey but well worth it for a special occasion.

I've had dinner several times in this restaurant and have never been disappointed. Really good sliders during happy hour. Food is just good.

Wasn't in the restaurant as I was dining at their beer garden. Food was below average and service was somewhat confusing. Won't come back.

Rating NYC restaurants unusual for me, but at any rate we had an excellent meal and the staff was very attentive. Perhaps a little pricey, being Rockefeller Plaza and all, but we were in the city to do the tourist thing only. My wife had a meatball appetizer for dinner (dieting), which was very good, and the skate was very... More

Went here to celebrate with coworkers for someone's last day. We preordered a selection of apps, shrimp cocktail, hanger steak on toast, mini croque monsieur, sliders and raw tuna tacos. It was tasty but nothing spectacular. I understand it is going with the French theme but you could at least one American beer on the menu and the server wasn't... More

We were sorry to read that you were disappointed with the beer selection at Brasserie Ruhlmann. We aren’t sure if you are aware though, but we actually opened up a Biergarten next to the restaurant for the summer and we’re positive that you could find a beer to your liking there! We happened to stumble on this place while strolling around Rockefeller Center. We didn't have a reservation but were told that they would call us when they had a table ready. My partner went to the restroom and before his return, we were being seated. We had a magnificent waiter, I believe his name was Marcelo. He gave 5 star... More

Brasserie Ruhlmann is right in Rockefeller Center. We stopped in their Biergarten for a couple of cold beers on a sunny and hot Saturday afternoon. Great place for people watching and taking a break. cant comment on teh food but the beer was cold and served up soon after we ordered. No complaints. Would definitely return.

What a wonderful place! We booked this restaurant months ago as part of a family trip from Ireland to NY to celebrate my Mums birthday. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we were treated like royalty. The food was excellent, as were the drinks. The lobster bisque was phenomenal as were the mains. Highly recommend this... More

Stopped for lunch and ordered a light meal each and asked for some extra cheese sauce for the chips and eventually told sorry they don't offer extras, hence I gave them a $2 tip when I got the bill. Nice location let down by snobby waiting staff.

Alan, We’re sorry if you felt slighted because our wait staff would not provide you with an additional side of cheese sauce. The staff has been addressed about the extra cheese sauce issue and corrections have been made. Best Regards, Arnaud Clairay General Manager More

My wife and I were somewhat underwhelmed by most of the eateries around Rockefeller Plaza - many are take-outs with vast queues of office workers - but we decided to pop in here on a whim as it seemed like a cosy spot for lunch on a rain-drenched day in the Big Apple. Being lunchtime it was very busy, but... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
