One of the best experiences that I have ever had. My wife took me here for my birthday and the service, the food, the pairings, the small atmosphere is remarkable. I would recommend this small seating environment to anyone.

Momofuku Ko was even better than we expected! My wife and I got a seat at the counter, surrounding the open kitchen, and we were treated to an amazing evening of culinary theater. The staff was super friendly. Max, the sous chef, was amazing. He was super chill, and took the time to chat with us throughout the dinner, as... More

In my husbands words. Really cool space where most of the seats are at a kitchen counter around an open kitchen that is the center of the room. This was my kind of place where you could really see the cooking and plating going on. Service was excellent and dishes were well paced out. The first item on the menu... More

This is how bao should be done! I was introduced to Bao buns in London last fall. Until now I have yet to find one worthy of the same review. Hands down best bao bun I've had since I've been back! So that means, in my humble opinion best bao in America! hehe. I've been looking. The place is great.... More

The title says it all really, so let's get down to brass tacks. Can't drink because it'll interact with your medication? They will accommodate you with delicious non-alcoholic cocktail creations, but you'll be enthralled by the sommelier's knowledgeable descriptions of your partners wine pairing anyway. One thing is you have to come with an open mind and an empty stomach.... More

My girlfriend and me took a taxi to this place. We overlooked it, turned around and overlooked it again. Unsure we had the right address we got off the cab and walked and still missed it. After careful inspection of the area we finally saw the logo but thought it was closed. It turned out to be like this, so... More

Sorry for such a delay in the review! I ate here lat November with my girlfriend, we were in New York for only 2 days and this was my only request! And it was phenomenal, the staff were so friendly and asked about our journey, also provided comp pink champagne on arrival as we travelled from Ireland. Every course of... More

Our first visit to the new location on Extra Place was a delight. Bar seats with plenty of space and a full view of the food preparation area. Beautiful art work. Each course of the tasting menu provided a surprising combination of seasonal tastes and textures. The beverage pairings were eclectic, unique and well matched.

I've been eating in several three-star restaurants in new york, and momofuku ko was with no doubt the second best, only topped by eleven madison park. Great freshly prepared food, with only the best produce. very cool atmosphere. a top restaurant, will definitely go there again.

I only had a few days in New York and you had better believe I was literally online waiting for the exact moment I could book myself a slot for lunch here. I absolutely love the space and interior it's slick. Everyone I encountered while here was super friendly and on point. No one fussed with you or bothered you... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
