From Ivan at the front bar, to Alejandro and Vanya in the back, we had a wonderful time dining at Aroma Kitchen and Wine Bar. The wine selections were fantastic, and Ivan is a helpful and friendly face at the bar. When we went back to dine, we felt like we were in someone's home (in a good way!) Not... More

What a great neighborhood gem! My 25-year-old daughter and I were baffled by the chain restaurants near Times Square that were crowded when restaurants like the Aroma Wine Bar are just a subway ride way! This is a charming place with a great wine menu and delicious food! We enjoyed a great bottle of red along with a delicious meat... More

Wonderful Italian meal in a quirky, old house. Downstairs, outside through the narrowest entry into a magical trattoria. Quiet when we were there but obviously set to dine famiglia style at long trestle tables. Wonderful wine list and extremely good basic Italian dishes with emphasis on pastas. Great night down in the Bowery.

I love it when so many others have written my review for me. I would have a hard time adding to the other four and five dot reviews of Aroma.

Came with a large group and we had the room around the back just for us. Had a prix fixe that included some small apetizers (crostini, arancini, cheese and cold meats) and then a primo of pasta, a secondo of oven baked cod and desert was panna cotta. Wine pairings were adequate but not outstanding. Everything was pretty average in... More

Had a great post show dinner. Wine is the thing but the food is store nice. Enjoyed the cheese and Italian meat selections. It's very cozy just ten tables in the back. Maybe not for you if you want a roomy setting, but for us it was a fun and delicious dinner.

Vito has brought new seasonal menu items and a great treat to customers with BYOB Mondays and Special (most recent Duck) Dinners for Thursday. Always enjoy the friendly service--a rare find of home style Italian cooking with wine bar and rusty dining room. A true find in NYC: even for most hard to please world travelers! Ask Vito or staff... More

Food was delicious fresh and very reasonably priced especially in nyc Panzanella salad, caprese salad, olive tray, meatball, eggplant parmigian -all these were excellent. Carbonara pasta, pork chop and halibut as our entrees were all delicious. the waiter gave us the best recommendations. don't forget to leave room for the bread pudding and chocolate soufflé. I would return again in a heartbeat:)

The food was delicious, The wine surpassed what we had in Florence and Rome, and Vito was entertaining. Inloved the warm beet salad with Gorgonzola, the veal, and the tiramisu.

Visited this restaurant on the suggestion of a colleague. It is literally in the basement, so if you don't like confined spaces, you should pass but if you can bear it the food is worth it. Great service and great food.
