Had a tasting menu. All courses were excellent! Service very friendly as well. Special shoutout to our server from Sardinia! 😊 Can't wait to go back. Highly recommended for both business and private settings.

Used to be innovative and superb. Now unpredictable and tired. drinks were watery. food was just slightly above average in quality and presentation, but VERY pricey.

This is our go to restaurant for special occasions! The ambiance is lovely, the noise level is not excessive and the food presentation and servings are always excellent! This time Asia de Cuba is sponsoring China Grill PopUp. What a treat we had!!

We tried Asia de Cuba as part of Restaurant Week. The décor is rather bland ~like no one could make a decision on style and so they gave up. For starters, we had Tunapica Tartare and Crispy Calamari. The Tunapica Tartare was a tuna tartare...mixed with olives, currants, roasted coconut, almonds and avocado ceviche served as taco. It was a unique take on a classic. The Crispy Calamari was among the best we have ever had anywhere. The calamari was perfectly cooked and served over the mix of salad greens with a light vinaigrette that only enhanced all of the flavors. As it turned out, the starters were the best part of the meal. Our main courses were the short rib vaca frita and the Chino Latino. The vaca frita was a small portion with uninspired flavors, but the Chino Latino was a delicious, fried rice-style dish that was as filling as it was good. The house white is a nice option for wine. The coconut cake for dessert was stale; however, the Tres Leche de Chocolate hit the right notes. Restaurant week is all about trying new places. And, we may go back for the calamari, but that is about it.More

We went here on the first day of the NYC restaurant week and it was an excellent choice. For starters, I had Tunapica Tartare. It was a tuna tartare mixed with Spanish olives, currants, roasted coconut, almonds and avocado ceviche served as tacos using deep...fried crispy wonton as taco shells. It was a dish made in taco heaven. If given a choice I would be happy to have this also my main entrée. For the main course, I had the Rocoto Glazed Cod. The cod was cooked just right with orange mojo as topping with avocado poblano puree sauce. The fish was very moist and flaked off easily. The puree added a unique out-of-this-world taste to it. I will definitely have this dish the next time I dine here. For the final course, I had the coconut cake which was served with dulce de leche ice cream, another great selection. They also have an excellent selection of their signature cocktails. I had the Ditch Street which is a mix of rum, mescal, jalapeno, honey, ginger and lime served with large ice cube. It is a unique spicy drink that I definitely I’ll drink again. The restaurant’s interior is spacious. The dining room has regular table seating as well as booths. There’s a choice of a typical rectangular booth and a semi-circle booth. I like the idea of having a semi-circle booth for a larger group. It gave a chance for everybody to engage in a conversation. I actually didn’t notice anybody looking at their smartphones that evening. There’s also a lounge seating not far from the bar. The only decor that stuck out like a sore thumb was the fake eucalyptus tree with blue light located in the middle of the main dining room. I didn’t see the association of the tree with Cuban or Asian cuisine. The service crew was professional from the hostess to the waiters and the bus boys. I gave this restaurant an excellent rating for the great food and excellent dining experience.More

I went during restaurant week for dinner. To start, I waited 15 minutes to be seated as I watched others get seated that arrived after me. I waited a the bar and ordered a pineapple mojito. The service at the bar is better than the...restaurant. He was nice and made great drinks. When I finally got seated, the water server was also very nice. So I was starting to feel more positive. Until the waiter came and asked me what I wanted. I went on to ask him if a specific plate was spicy. He replied "nothing on our menu is spicy so order whatever you want and if you want I will come back so you can figure it out." Really??? I was so annoyed I asked for the manager. I saw the man go up to her. Instead of coming to me she went and asked who I believe was the head server to come over. He was very nice and apologized and gave us a round of drinks. But this definitely did not make up for the terrible service. But on to the food. I ordered the snapper ceviche, I loved it, I ordered the short rib vaca frita, which was also very good. I had asked the waiter if it was spicy because I was curious. When my plate came the server told me the short rib without the chinese....I asked him why it was without that and he said because you asked for it without spice. I DID NOT!!! So I asked for it on the side. It was delicious! I also ordered the chicharron. This plate was o.k. I was not a fan. For dessert, I got the coconut cake. Since I like semi-dry cakes, I enjoyed it. Paired with the ice cream it tastes better. Overall I am not going back here. The food is good, but for the price you pay, you might as well go to the million other places around the city. The price is too high for the service you receive.More

This was one of our favorites, in the original setting back in the hotel days, review will be short, as our experience. Great staff, music but average food, quantity and ambience. Very loud and very small. Parking is a challenge, and prices way off when...compared to the quantity. Scrubbed this off the favorite listMore

I had a good meal here. I do miss the (very) old Asia de Cuba for its cool ambience. The food and service are still good.
