The lobster roll was the best I ever had. The service was friendly and appropriately attentive. I was there for lunch and almost went back for dinner.

I've been coming to Ed's since they opened and it's with a heavy heart that I can no longer recommend it. Between covid and inflation, I expect a drop in quality but Ed's has become much much worse. The Lobster is tasteless and the Mac...and cheese is Kraft's supermarket quality. The portions too small but the price is gone up far too much. AVOID.More
We’ve always loved this place for the lobster rolls and service. I’m a native Rhodesia Islander and this Soho lobster shack delivers the real thing. They’ve moved recently a couple of blocks to a new location on the corner of Grand and Lafayette - look...for it.More
delicious lobster´s raviollis and an amazing burger!!!, staff was very nice too, i was surprised ,good surprise!
this place is amazing not only is the the ambiance and staff great but also the food is great. ive tried everything on the menu and i love it all. the lobster roll and the lobster ravioli are some of my favorites.
food is delicious and you don't have to get one main meal get a few raw bar and apps for the table and enjoy!
Restaurant has MOVED to 155 Grand street, only 2 blocks from the old location. Great service and delicious seafood! I had a craving for a lobster roll, and left very satisfied.
I was extremely disappointed when I took a friend for lunch today. I was expecting to have the same experienced I had before the pandemia and for that reason I went back today. The place looked dirty, unkempt and poorly managed. We sat outside and...after our order was taken we waited 20 minutes before a waitress came and realized our order had not been placed. We ordered the "famous" Ed's Lobster Roll and when it came we could not believe the size and its presentation on a hot dog roll. Pitiful. Nothing to match the Coast Guard House at Narragansett, RI, where yesterday we ordered the same dish and were very pleased with the size, flavor and presentation, not to mention the service as well. Ed's needs great deal of improvement to keep maintaining its customers happy!! I do not recommend the place.More
As a lover of lobster, I was looking forward to this place. The experience was a complete disaster. First, the server takes 12 minutes to realize that I was actually at the table. She finally comes and asks me what I want. I tell her...that I haven't seen the menu, and ask her if she can bring me one. She starts laughing. I ask her if she's okay, and she keeps laughing. I give up and order two items that I assume they have: lobster bisque and mac and cheese. She leaves while I try to stop her: I wanted a glass of brut rosé—but she does not listen. 20 minutes later, another server brings my bisque. No water, no silverware. I ask him if I can have a spoon and a glass of water. A few minutes later my other server comes with a spoon (no water). I ask for water again, and for a glass of rosé champagne. I eat my bisque (good, no oyster crackers, unlike other tables). The water finally comes; no sign of the champagne. About 20 minutes later my mac and cheese arrive. Again, I have to ask for a fork and remind her about the rosé champagne, insisting that if they don't bring it now it ' not worth it. A few minutes later, they bring me a glass of white wine. I tell my server that I had asked for a rosé champagne, and she asks me if I want rosé wine. I insist that I want rosé CHAMPAGNE. She finally brings me the glass, when I am half way through my dish—correct, not much lobster, way too creamy. All in all, a terrible $60 dining experience. I felt laughed at, forgotten, and mistreated.More
Had the crab and artichoke dip and lobster roll. It was all delicious!! No wait, friendly staff and service.
Restaurant was small but the food was great! Calamari, lobster roll, grilled lobster were delicious!
My kids first time in New York. We live in Virginia. Stopped in around 4 pm. I agree the lobster roll is delicious but this place is pricey. One lobster roll, a bowl of soup and 6 oysters for $70. We all had water to...drink.More
I come with with my father pretty much every week. I'm obsessed with the lobster roll and blueberry creme brulee! They have a great selection of drinks and the service is great, everyone is super friendly. I'm slowly making my way through the menu, it's...a little expensive but the most worth it is the lobster roll.More
My wife took me for my birthday. Not only was the food terrific, but the cooking was surprisingly creative. And my drink was wonderful. I had the lobster roll with fries. Both were superb. I also had the blueberry margarita, which was delicious. My wife...had the grilled asparagus and octopus. She loved both. My only complaint is about the music, which was relatively low but not what most folks will enjoy. (Reggaeton, oddly enough.)More
Best lobster rolls ever! Lovely staff, nice atmosphere. A must when you’re in NYC! Sit at the bar for the full experience ;)
