Lobster roll was great. Need a little more meat and less bread. Interesting oyster tasting plate. Five of the six oysters were good. Good service that could have been a little more attentive. Excellent dessert selection.

This restaurant was found by us just walking in NYC, we saw the menu and it seemed like it had some tasty offerings. An employee was opening oysters in front of us. I ordered a lobster roll which when served was as fresh as you can imagine. Along with the bun, was a good as I have tried so far.... More

Without reservations, we were able to dine here with 4. The staff was very friendly, helpfull and gave us all the time we needed to decided what to choose. Everything looks so good, that was the hard part! Most of us went with the Lobster roll ($30, market price) since it was mentioned several times in reviews. Also tuna tartare... More

Second night in NYC and lobster called! A short walk up the street to Ed's and the welcome walking in on a chilly night was warm and friendly. We sat up the back at a table but I'm a big counter fan and would recommend that choice of seating. My dinner companion had the kiwi chardonnay - it would be... More

Sat at the bar and ordered some drinks while we looked at the menu. Asked a few questions of the barman who was way too cool for school. A bit off hand with us, but we bared it. Ordered the prawn cocktail which was superb and then I went for the lobster roll which was sublime (we sat next to... More

More lobster than roll - the salad was great but order the fries. I'm told the burger is pretty good too!

Having received a recommendation from a local shop owner to try Ed's Lobster Bar for lunch, we made tracks to this small restaurant on Lafayette. From the exterior it didn't look up to much, but nothing ventured and all that. So glad we did. We had a fantastic lunch. Good staff, great food and a pretty decent wine list. Don't... More

A friend introduced me to this place when I lived in NYC and since then, every time I have the chance to come back into the city, I try to head over there. The brioche bun that they use on the lobster roll is such a perfect combination with the huge chunks of lobster than it's almost unfair. I usually... More

Friends of ours always come here when they visit the city, but it was our first time. We were the first ones in the door on a Sunday at noon and the place was empty. It holds about 50 or so and we had a good table in the back. The lobster dishes were terrific. I had an all world,... More
