If you like to hang out- this place is definitely for you. Doesn't mAtter if you come with a friends or solo. There is always people around with whom you can interact while having drink or just some lunch. I was there for a promo party. Delicious appetizers and brunch course menu.

Fun spot for a group in a lively area. Food is tapas like in that it is bite sized and perfect for sharing. We let the waitress just take care of us for the night-nobody looked at a menu.

Three of us shared a bunch of small plates and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them. Our favorites were the Cobb bites, the grilled string beans, the ribs, and the lamb meatballs. The meatballs, in particular, were extraordinary. We asked for a quiet table and got the best they could manage -- a nice booth at the very back of... More

Visited Stanton on a saturday for dinner with a friends couple. Friends where late so we could not get seated before they arrived. When they arrived we got seated upstairs in the lounge. Was way to crowded to eat dinner so we asked for another table. After a short wait we got seated downstairs. Good food for sharing, drinks good... More

We selected this restaurant to have our dinner as suggested by one of our colleagues. We were seated only when we had all people present. The waiter was very professional and he advised us to try best dishes - tacos, onion soup dumplings and loads more. My favourite was the tacos. To be honest all the dishes were very tasty.... More

We are visiting New York for the weekend and went to The Stanton Social. It was amazing! The food was absolutely excellent! Who would have thought. The Lower East Side teaming with millennials on a Saturday night. The restaurant was packed with people still waiting at 11pm for a table. Stanton Social is a small plate/tapas restaurant with a flair... More

Exhausted after a difficult journey to NYC we happened upon The Stanton Social. Everything was perfect. Food was exquisite, ambiance buzzy, waiting staff friendly and knowledgeable, wine delicious. Yes it's a tad expensive but you sometimes have to pay for quality. We left a few hours later absolutely delighted to have come across this jewel in the crown

We had Friday night dinner at Staton Social. Restaurant is modern and ambiance is relaxed and busy. Service was friendly and quick. Sometimes even too quick: food came little bit too fast to the table (we shared about 7 dishes). Taste was great.

Went to The Stanton Social with a group of friends. Food is amazing so is the ambiance. Yes it's a bit on the pricey side but it's NYC. Clientele seems to be in the 25-45 range. Service was very good. The bar upstairs is fun and convenient for an after-meal drink. Overall a wonderful experience.

The mood, decor and music were all on point. The crowd is hip and around 25-35 years old (a lot more women than men). The wines and drinks are wayyyyy overpriced (no bottle under 70$) and the tapas style food was ok, but disappointing considering the price paid. We had each one plate and shared and had one glass of... More

Chef/owner Chris Santos has teamed up with Tao owner Richard Wolf, and the James Beard 'Best New Restaurant Design' award winning firm AvroKo, to create The Stanton Social, a staple and neighborhood favorite of the Lower East Side.

The design of this three level hot spot tips it's hat to the neighborhood's garment history and offers diners a culinary odyssey. All menu items are designed for sharing, offering guests a chance to experience multiple dishes and flavors throughout their meal. In addition to its 120 seats, The Stanton Social offers a lounge and bar on the upper level, featuring guest DJs. Dishes range from $9-$30 each.

Staying in Lower East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Lower East Side
Straddling the bridge between New York’s thriving immigrant past and its modern transformation into a beacon of global art and culture, the Lower East Side is one of the most dynamic neighborhoods in the city. The blocks of tenements that represented the promise and blight of the Lower East Side immigrant experience now command top dollar for new residents. Right next to old-world delis, 24-hour bodegas, and the garment shops of Orchard Street, you’ll find hip clubs, fashionable bistros, and luxury hotels beckoning at all hours of the evening. If you love nightlife and live music, it’s hard to beat the scene here.
