My daughter found this place online when she planned our trip as it is part of (but not associated with) the "Friends" building. We were very glad we went. The staff was very friendly and we both enjoyed our meals. It is pricey, and the place is very small. It is best to get a reservation and make sure you... More

The staff were very rude here simply because we only wanted a drink. We were moved from our table because apparently all of the tables were reserved for eating even though there were four empty tables. It was very expensive for just a drink. The staff were not accommodating and just simply rude. I would not recommend this place for... More

Expensive for the quality of food and expensive everyday wines. I had the recommended cod for the main which was small and overcooked.

We had an incredibly delicious dinner at Little Owl last night. It's a small place in Greenwich Village. No more than 10 small tables. But relatively quiet despite of the intimate size. We sat at a table for four in the corner. The menu offers a variety of interesting options. And the wine list is well presented and moderately priced.... More

Average spot with few tables, dim lighting, a ridiculously obnoxious manager and okay food. I have never been served a pork chop with a raw center and I don't plan on ordering any in the future based on this experience. The appetizers were pricey and small but well prepared. The wine list was reasonable, and the dessert was the most... More

Wandering pleasantly through the West Village, we happened upon this charming restaurant. We asked whether they had space for two for lunch and were happy to sit at the bar. The service was impeccable, explaining the dishes carefully. My wife chose the tuna-avocado toast while I opted for the pappardelle bacalao. The tuna salad was made with fresh tuna and... More

We absolutely love The Little Owl. Every time we are in NYC, we make sure we have a reservation. I adore the small intimate setting. The service is impeccable and the food is truly spectacular. We started with the risotto Bianco and at Jorge’s suggestion splurged on the added truffle—which was entirely worth it. I savored every bite of that... More

Having read some amazing reviews for this restaurant we decided to pay it a visit. We were lucky to find a seating on a busy night. We were sat at the bar and eagerly awaited for our dishes which looked very promising on other tables around us. Indeed the food was tasty and highly enjoyable. Our dining experience would have... The Little Owl is a quaint little restaurant in the West Village. The food was excellent and I loved the ambiance! The brunch menu was absolutely perfect for what we were looking for: a variety of delicious breakfast and lunch items. Little Owl serves simple, comforting meals with unique splashes of flavor added to each classic dish. We began with... More

This little place would be the perfect place to enjoy the most delicious brunch, lunch or dinner on earth. Is already famous for its location, features many times on "Friends". The outside is really simple and very NYC style. The inside carefully done, making the best of a small seating area, with well selected furniture and and excellent service. The... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
