Our group of 5 loved this restaurant. We always eat here when we're in NYC. We had enchiladas, quesadillas, soups, salads, and a guacamole trio. Each dish was great! It's a lively spot - great location for pre theatre dinner. Reserved online. Place was full by 5:30.

My wife and I love the food at this place. The sitting is crowded, but in NYC that is to be expected. Guacamole was great with the tortilla, the chicken was done right, and the wait staff was very attentive.

Mexican and healthy food options rarely ever go hand in hand, but at Toloache they found a way to blend traditional Mexican cuisine with a healthy approach. Don't let the outside appearance scare you away, its located in the heart of the theater district and is one of the few bright eating spots. The best thing off of the menu... More

Very interesting brunch dishes and drinks. The Huevos Rancheros, Quesadilla and Guacamole were delicious. They will cater the heat to your tolerances. Crowded but not overly noisy. Best to reserve.

Toloache was recommended by local friends so we wanted to give it a try. Definitely get a reservation. The first two attempts to go were thwarted by a lack of reservation. We went for dinner last night and it was just okay when I expected amazing. The service was phenomenal, the guacamole was very good albeit typical. I had a... More

Great drinks, amazing food, fun service. Waited a little longer than expected for a table but once seated my party enjoyed a great meal. Recommend to anyone wanting fresh, genuinely tasty Mexican food in NYC.

I was travelling for work and dining alone. Plenty of places to sit as a single diner and feel comfortable. I went the night of the superbowl and there was a big screen up and great atmosphere. Large Margarita menu. Guacamole and chips is a must.

My wife and I loved this little gem, from the fresh guacamole and nachos to the wood fired quesadillas. Tacos are great, with a good hit of chilli. Nice beer selection too. Service was fast, making this a good choice for a quick bite before a show (its very handy for Avenue Q, just a few minutes walk away).

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
