Very good food and waiter was accommodating and helpful finding something the teenagers would like! Tables were a little crowded but the service was quick, which we appreciated.

I dropped by one night for light meal and got the last vacant seat at the small bar. Bartender was very good with the service - I tried the premium margarita - which at $18 is a bit steep - but having gotten used to paying Aussie prices for drinks I thought Why Not.... It was good - I mean... More

An amazing mex. restaurant. The service was familiarly great. The food was excellent and this brought us twice a day after the other to enjoy dinner there. You will love this place.

I had a late lunch here (Tuesday afternoon, around 2:30) with a friend and we were not disappointed. There were only a couple of other tables occupied so we were able to spread out. We ordered the medium guac which came with a roasted tomato sauce, and both were outstanding. We shared the black truffle quesadilla and the brisket tacos.... More

The food and service at Tolache are excellent. This is not just Tex-Mex food. We had the guacamole with fruit that was both innovative and very tasty. The duck confit enchiladas with mole sauce(the deadly special) were very well seasoned and the mole sauce was the best I have had outside Mexico. The service was very attentive and quick. The... A really terrific Mexican restaurant right in the theatre district. More varied and interesting than your usual Mexican restaurant. Portions and prices are very good. Doesn't feel like a tourist trap just out to soak you. Excellent service, as well. Attractive place, great vibe, though very noisy. My only criticism and those of our friends were that the cocktails, which... More

The wait staff are fully knowledgable and great at making suggestions. we were a party of three and were able to suggest the right amount of food to share and enjoy. I am a vegetarian - there are a great number of choices. Great location for the theatre district.

the three guacamoles are a great way to start dinner--not cheap, but tasty. my husband had the chicken quesadilla which was fresh but bland and the chicken tacos which were more flavorful. combined, they're okay for a dinner but separately definitely not enough to make a meal of. again, not cheap but combined I guess they cost the same as... If you need to catch a show the location is perfect. They will move you in and out quickly. The place is rammed and you will be sitting on top of one another. It is also very loud so don't be looking for a quiet romantic dinner. The prices are rip your face expensive and combined with alcohol you will... More

I wanted to make sure we visited some worthwhile restaurants in NYC, and although this restaurant is only a 10 minute walk from the heart of Times Square, I wouldn't class it as a "touristy" place. We visited on a Monday night and it was very busy, so we were pleased we made a reservation. It had a feel of... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
