I cam here with friends for their 80s themed Halloween party last month. We had a great time at the bar. There is a cool vibe to this basement bar. We had dinner upstairs at coco and cru first, which I definitely suggest.
I absolutely love Sweetwater Social.
I hosted a birthday party there and they did not disappoint.
The staff is extremely friendly and really know how to take care of their guests. Incredible service esp. for an NYC bar.

This is a very cool underground bar that we would have missed had it not been for the sandwich board at the door advertising happy hour. Stairs down take you to a dark, industrial space with stone archways, dark wood and comfy chairs. The bartenders...More
We went in for a nightcap on a Monday night. Great specials on Monday and Tuesday. Cocktails were ok. But there was a huge fake perfume smell permeating the space - it was pretty overwhelming. But, good vibe and reasonable prices.
I went here for an after work happy hour event. The venue itself is in a basement and is very cool spot, but it's pretty warm and even more so once it gets packed. Bartenders were great and it was easy and quick to get...More

Thanks so much for the compliments, Alex! We're flattered you chose us for your first date spot. Hope you two will join us for another date night sometime soon. Cheers, Sweetwater Social
I first visited Sweetwater in April 2014 on a first date and it was a great time. We explored the variety of specialty cocktails, played games, and took pictures in their photo booth. Since then I've visited often and always bring friends there.

Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess.
Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
