While Taboon is a bit out of the way I enjoyed my first visit here post-theatre. It was loud even though we were one of the only tables occupying the place. I enjoyed the baba ganouch dip tremendously. They smoke their own eggplant we were...More

Four of us ordered various meze plates to share. For the trio of dips we got taramasalata, baba ganoush, and spicy feta spread, all superb with the house foccacia (not the expected pita). We also ordered flavourful crab shawarma and chopped salad, which balanced the...More

Starting from the famous Taboon oven which cooks so evenly and hot that the chef practically takes the fish bread or meat out as fast as it goes in. There's nowhere for the natural juices to go except in your mouth. It's hard to recommend...More

Second visit, just as good as first. Great service, very tasty food, prepared with love. Highlight was the spicy falafel but all food very good. Great breads, fish and meat, as well as well-priced wine list. One of my favs in NYC. Highly recommended

Excellent meal, excellent service, all in a very charming restaurant. Loved the complimentary fresh, hot focaccia loaf with three dips, falafel appetizer was light and crunchy, and the cauliflower steak was quite creative with a very tasty sauce on top. For dessert, a lovely latte...More
