Last night was my first visit since Covid. I havent been here in a year and a half. The longest in my life with out this best chinese even. Located down a stair case in chinatown this is a hidden gem. I have truly missed...this. I started with a large wonton soup. Still the best of any I have ever had. Then had the Shrimp with black bean sauce. This is the best black bean sauce ever. The white rice cost extra but thats chinatown style. The crispy noodles are also extra but are homemade and yummy. The food is the best the prices are still low. Bring cash since credit is not accepted. There may be a line but its always worth the wait tahts why there is a line. Make sure u go to the downstairs resturant at 17 mott not the upstairs at 15 mott. I love chinese food and this place has the best chinese food in the city. Dont let the location fool u. I hve been eating here since the early 1970's and this place never changed. Family owned since the 1930's it chinatowns oldest and still the best. If your coming to NYC this is a must for youMore

7/30/2021 - Haven't been to Wo Hop's since the Pandemic and was very surprised to find a line of waiting customers to get inside (since China Town was having such a hard time during the Pandemic). We got our order to go and they didn't...disappoint me. I have not ordered Shrimp Chow Mein from them before so I thought I'd give it a try since it is one of my favorites. I was more than surprised since almost every where else it is basically the same but not here! It was more "hearty", had more color to it and had more flavor and held up very well (since it traveled from China Town to Westchester County in New York). Most Chinese American Chow Mein turns watery after awhile but Wo Hops sauce held up! Simply delicious! This Chow Mein is the best I've ever had to this day. Great Job! Any one who likes American Chinese Food try this it's way better!!!!!!!!!!More

This is the ONLY place I eat when I go to Chinatown. I started going when I was 18, went 4 days a week and moved to Florida 20 years ago and when I go back to see family, this is my #1 eating spot....BEST of the BEST, must go downstairs, not up, don't ask. My waiter friend is still there. Plan on going in Sept and it will be the highlight of the trip.More

This is a popular restaurant in the historic Chinese district. The staff is polite and accommodating. The food is plentiful and delicious. I Highly recommend this wonderful dining experience and purchase a souvenir t-shirt while you are there.

Wo hop never disappoints . Haven’t been here in years but experiences the same excellent service and AMAZING food at very low prices . This is traditional Chinese food at its best! 5-6 won tons in each bowl. Excellent large portions . Fed 5 people...with a lot of leftovers for only $80 with tipMore

I knew while I was in NYC that I had to get Chinese food in Chinatown, but I had no idea where to go. A tour guide told me to go to Wo Hop "and get an egg roll, wonton soup, and a roast pork...fried rice." That was my exact order, and the waiter did look at me like I might have cleaned the back for some reason. However, I'm no stickler for service, and the man could've cursed at me because the food was so good. The egg roll was massive and golden brown, the wonton soup had a very strong broth and silky wontons, and the small mountain of fried rice was perfect. This surprisingly came out to $8 which is insane for the amount of food. I will say it's a bit cramped, and the seating plan isn't terribly self-explanatory. The waiter seemed very frustrated with me not understanding how it worked, but I got sat down eventually.More

The food was average but the atmosphere was horrible, the bathrooms looked like they haven’t been washed in years, the waiter took a long time to bring out my order and got it wrong, and at the end my total came out to around $25...I gave him a $5 tip which I thought was nice considering it was a 20% tip. When I was outside I hear my waiter running over to me asking for a higher tip. I didn’t want to be rude so I gave him another dollar and left before he said anything else.More

Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and
smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like
entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle
that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families
stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up
at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from
the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many
