The truffle ramen was not available for lunch, so I went with their signature ramen, which was very good. The broth was rich enough, the pork belly fat melted in my mouth, and the egg was cooked right. Pricing was good as well.

I really liked the food here and the atmosphere. Felt very authentic with the way it was laid out and with the fittings and the artwork. It felt like it would be my local Izakaya if I lived in NYC.
The food was very good, the ramen was rich and deserving attention. The menu was well put together so I would have loved to come back there if I had the time. Definitely worth the visit.

Not far from our hotel we ended up at the Lucky Cat which was next door. Amazingly surprised by the cosy decoration. Meals are tasty and affordable. Definitely recommend.

Neighborhood favorite for Asian-style food. Smallish space makes for crowded conditions, but generally happily chaotic.

I have not had ramen since January 18!! I had no idea I could physically handle being away from my ramen for so long since it is basically my lifeblood!! I was in a short play back in March (before all this virus stuff happened) and one of the characters in my play was named Mr Fried Chicken #2!! That guy happens to feel the way about fried chicken as I feel for noodle soup!! I do think coming here was very fun because I ate outside and it was a humbling experience to eat ramen for the first time in months!! I got the tontkotsu ramen which I demolished!! The gyozas were also so good!! I got my ramune which was very good!! The waiter was nice and seemed like a ramen fan!! The place had nice Japanese artifacts and they were playing Japanese anime and I think that was also very cool!! Anyway you should all come here!!

Once you step into this cozy restaurant you are transported to some place in Japan. From the Japanese cartoons on the TV to the anime on the walls to the giant Lucky Cat, this is a taste and feel of local Japan in Manhattan. You need to experience the food, service and ambiance.

Love this kind of small authentic Japanese restaurants. Had few beers and shoju with friend of mine. We ordered lots of food. Lacked a flavor but overall was good. Some of the kushiyakis/skewers were chewy. However we enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks.

This establishment is by far the best ramen noodle shop in Manhattan. I’ve lived here for a few years and am always looking for good noodles. I’m always on the hunt for different types of spots from chains places like Wagamama to locals hole in the walls. I recently went to a place called Oramwn on 6th ave and 16th street. Their noodles were good but service was ok at best. Lucky Cat’s noodles, poached egg and service far exceeds any of the other shops I’ve been too. The people working at Lucky Cat are nice and very attentive. They have beer specials all day. On top of noodles they have great Chirashi sushi and other lunch specials.
There is a small spot actoss the street from then that also serves noodles. I went there buts it’s just not the same. Oramen on 6th is ok at best.
If you’re looking for a nice ramen noodle on a cold day or even a spicy noodle dish on a sick day, this is the spot to go too.

This place is small and ramshackle looking but the food is why I’ll always make this my go-to ramen spot when I’m in nyc. Everything I’ve tried here has been absolutely delicious. The scallop appetizer is fresh and delicious, my favorite ramen bowl is the signature “lucky cat”.. spicy and savory. Very authentic food

A delightfully funky, highly authentic and delicious Japanese restaurant, Lucky Cat is a lucky find. Our staff went there for a happy hour visit. The ramen got rave reviews and other specialties were equally delicious. $6 cocktails and an extensive menu were easy on the wallets. Go there and “get lucky”...in more ways than one!

Went for a second and third time. Food very solid. Chicken teriyaki don is excellent. meat is extremely tender, doesn't even taste like chicken breast. the mentaiko noodles was also amazing, as was the pancake. service was pretty fast. would warn that it can get extremely crowded on weekends, especially in the evening so do bear in mind. other than that, solid food. great for a late night snack.
