Stopped in to anticipate an upcoming trip to Peru and were blown away. A bit crowded, but friend and efficient staff take care of you. We had the ceviche tasting and Juanita's chicken, along with the aforementioned yucca. Chicken and yucca liberally dunked in deliciously green sauce (we bought a countainer to go). Pisco sours of course fabulous. We will... More

I frequently eat at Hell's Kitchen pio pio restaurant as I love it. It was three years ago the last time I visited the upper west side one and I recalled it a little noise. This time, it was not too noisy. It was busy but not packed. Note, they only take reservations for parties of 6 people or more.... More

Dining room lovely, food great but a bit salty. Our waiter, Patrizio was attentive and knowledgeable. We had shrimp couzco and the chicken. Both were a bit too salty. Ask them to go easy on the salt. Avocado salad was wonderful and the dressing was sublime with just the right heat. The sangria was delicious.

West side location is the best. This room is a good size so you are not on top of each other as you are in the east side location. The menu on the wayside offers more choices. Love their chicken and avocado salad plus the fabulous green sauce adds that touch of spice that makes everything taste better.

Split one chicken dish with sides, and it was perfect for two people. Fall-off-the-bone roasted chicken, cold Peruvian beer and a friendly environment.

I wish I could voice note this review so my enthusiasm about the restaurant could be heard and felt We were greeted by warm friendly staff. Seated immediately. Menus were delieverd with the waiter recommending drinks. We ordered food and were served within 15 minutes. Our glasses were refreshed every time they were emptied with servers, not only our own,... We both had a fish dish and it was excellent. Great table, not too crowded. And a good bottle of Red for 26.00. Interesting menu, Peruvian flair. Great experience!

We were a group of 4+baby and we were quickly seated. We ordered a variety of different dishes. The restaurant is known for their rotisserie chicken which was so crispy and juicy. The other dish I highly recommend is lomo saltado. I have eaten this one myself in Peru and the one at Pio Pio is at least as good.... More
