Yum! We all enjoyed delicious dishes here! Shrimp shumai was perfect, we had two hamachi jalapeño apps because it is light and bright, spicy yet savory. I enjoyed fresh sushi, my family each ordered a different noodle bowl. We had so much fun and everything...was tasty! Walkable from midtown/Times Square.More

I really enjoyed Nippori. Although its down in the theater district, its a bit off the beaten track, so the atmosphere was calm and we got a seat at 7:30 pm. The service was fast. We started with Wasabi Shumai dumplings which were delicious. Only...4 came in the order, and could have eaten another order. We had the Samurai Ramen and Nabeyaki Udon. Both were delicious and piping hot! Also, very reasonably priced, especially for NYC. I highly recommend Nippori.More

Pretty good Japanese food. They have an extensive menu - appetizers, yakitori (grilled food on a stick), ramen, sushi, food over rice. Authentic. Like the food I had in Japan. I would recommend this place. Close to Times Square but not overwhelming.

We were walking around looking for a bite on 25th December but restaurants were packed. Nippori had a nice table for us and the menu looked good so we stayed. Their ramens are great, we tried 2 of them and they are really tasty. Sushi...was great as well.More

Had a pre-matinee lunch with my family at this low-key but very comfortably appointed Japanese style restaurant. Attentive waiter staff. Well rounded Japanese menu. Very full ramen broth. Chicken dishes are all dark meat dishes as noted on menu. Teriyaki and Katsu all competently presented,...reasonable portion size. These dishes did take a little while to prepare, but not a big detractor. Would call this Very Good but for all dishes at under twenty this was an excellent value for this part of town.More

food was mediocre. Service was lacking - i asked for some hot sauce which took forever and was charged extra for it, i have had better steamed buns and tonkatsu in almost any other ramen joint i have ever visited. Avoid this place and spend...your money somewhere else.More

We decided not to wait for a table at Ippudo. What a mistake! We walked up the street to Nippori which was fairly empty so thought this would be good. I see now why this restaurant had plenty of available tables, the food is simply...awful. The service was fine & the Asahi I ordered also fine. We ordered vegetable tempura which was the best of the night. The chicken wings were fatty and fried to death. Plain rice overcooked and difficult to swallow. Dishes ordered were substituted.More

We ate dinner here after a play across the street. We were seated in the back - atmosphere not the best back there. We had a few apps and then rolls. Good, but nothing special. Ave cost.

We wanted a simple dinner and checked this place because it was near. I ordered a sashimi salad, my son an order of sashimi and my daughter had an order of sushi rolls. It was a lot of food but good quality fish. We definitely...will be back.More

This place doesn't live up to the standard of a real izakaya. The sashimi was of really bad quality, the fish being tough to chew and of poor taste and the cooked dishes being overall unimpressive. The service was friendly enough. But overall there are...much better Japanese restaurants in New York.More
