Total rubbish - avoid

Dumplings that were a solid ball of dough, fatty pork, tired chicken and very little of it. Vegetables were onion sliced and spring onion and even the white rice was soggy. There is nothing good to be said about this place, nothing! We threw ours...out and went and got a burger!More

Lots of terrible food

The food was tasteless, overcooked and boring. The sweet and sour pork was mostly batter and the sauce looked like it could glow in the dark. The chicken was mostly gelly like and the vegetables indistinguishable. We've been in New York 5 days and that...is definitely the worst food we've had in this city. Portion sizes were huge but they should rather have used proper ingredients and cooked them proper and given me half the amount. We ended up throwing most of it away. The rice tasted fine.More

Just another chinese takeaway

Underwhelmed. Well priced but fried noodles and chicken and cashew was undersealing. Restaurant was dirty and not at all appealing. A rating and well priced makes it average.

Come Hungry

My family and I ordered an assortment of takeout lunches, and the food was very tasty, plentiful, and reasonably priced. I was the only one able to finish my meal, so the others had leftovers to enjoy. As long as you're coming in with the...appropriate expectations, you won't be disappointed.More

Great Chinese food

We were stopping around the corner at the holiday inn express and needed some food fast to feed the kids. We ordered a selection online and walked around to collect at the allotted time. The food was ready and very well priced! We ordered a...selection of dishes which were all very nice. portions were large and cooked to perfection. Definitely worth a visit if in the area!More

Worth a visit

Really good food and cheap. A lot of food for little money. Would definitely eat there again! Would recommend getting takeaway because there is not much room for sitting in.

Nice hole in the wall!

Great little spot for Chinese food right across the Skyline Hotel. Prices are good and the food was good as well. Take out or delivery, they do have a couple seats but it's a small place. The wonton soup was my favorite followed by the...fried dumplings. I would eat their again if I'm back in that area.More

Satisfies the hunger pangs

The place is a take-out place with some seats. Food servings were bigger than expected. Nothing special but the food was quite nice - it will fulfill the hunger pangs. Prices are not bad as well.

Chinese takeout in Midtown West

Food King Chinese Restaurant is your typical neighborhood dive take out place, small and modest but with a loyal customer base. Their menu mentions that they've been in business since 1980. I did some volunteer work today for a non-profit and for a late lunch...I stopped in here. The food is average and they have reasonable prices for the lunch combo which is what I opted for; Sweet & Sour Chicken with Egg Drop Soup and Chicken Fried Rice for $7.00. There is a public park nearby so if we're having nice weather you can take advantage of it and eat outside. The employees in the kitchen seem like a nice crew from what I saw, they were all young, Chinese men.More
