Not inexpensive! $350 for 2. But good food and great views. Not busy on a weekday night so everyone had window tables. Great service from Brian.

Yeah, the view at The View is amazing. Totally lives up to its press. You're dining at 9000 feet, and the sight of the San Juan range towering above Telluride is truly breathtaking. Think of the opening shots from The Sound of Music and you're getting the picture. But more. And better. Then there's the food. We started with the... More

We started out in the full service, fine dining part of the restaurant, where we discovered it was a three-course prix fixe affair at $90 per person. Not a great choice when two in a party of four usually order Mac and cheese, chicken fingers or hot dogs. After discussing this with our wait person, she directed us to the... More

For my daughters 16th birthday her only request was a restaurant with a view. After much research we decided on The View. From the moment we arrived the service was excellent and the staff were all excellent wishing my daughter happy birthday and even bringing her a delicious cake with candle. Unexpected and a lovely gesture. We had the 3... More

You come for the view and secondary for the food but in some ways the experience was reversed - it is of course great to get the possibility of a 360 view of Manhattan but it is obscured by obstructions and is enjoyed through two layers of food but still ok. The food however was of very good quality and... More

We had a great table near the floor to ceiling windows and greatly enjoyed the 360 degree view of New York City. This is the only revolving restaurant in the city. Food is also available. Easy elevator access.

Yes it's expensive but the view is beautiful and absolutely worth it. We timed our reservation just right - came in at 7, did one turn around during daylight, were at the perfect spot for sunset and then continued with the nighttime NYC sykline. Service was o.k. - I think they prefer to let you enjoy the view - bread... More

Was there this evening with some business friends. Service OK but nothing above 3* average. Food also 3*. Steak well over cooked and veggies bland. Wine really cheap but sold for a high price. I would say lower 3* restaurant. You pay for the fact that it rotates but it is not high enough so the view is not great.... More

We enjoyed our meal and the view from the restaurant. Book to watch the sunset, well worth it. Food was excellent with a variety of options.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
