For a $100 meal EACH you should spend it on a trip up the Trade Centre ($37 tallest building in the city). Finished off with a $30 meal at Applebee's. Total- The View = $200+ (2people) Applebee's & Trade Centre trip = $134 (2people) The View offered a lukewarm main course, followed by a total wait time of 2 hours... More

Since were staying at this hotel, we enjoyed this lounge very much. Although it was expensive it was worth the view and the atmosphere it provided. I definitely would recommend going here and sit by the window.

Booked this for my friends birthday when we were in manhattan last week, thought the restaurant looked tired and needed updating, the food was very average and was not memorable at all, for the price you could go to an exceptional restaurant in London and experience fine dining. The views were great but wouldn't go back.

Expensive for dinner ($89) but worth it if you are having a special night out. Food is very good and service is also excellent and the view is great. You can relax and see the city in all its' glory. As one other reviewer said, they give you a little paper cocktail napkin with a map of the view from... More

We have enjoyed the View Restaurant on numerous occasions, but this was the first time we went in such a big group(19 people) during a holiday(Thanksgiving Weekend). We reserved and paid in advance. The buffet meal had the option of including an open bar which most of the adults took advantage of. However, when I asked for a cosmopolitan the... More

We booked an early table at the View, so that we could what the sunrise across the City. Arrived early, so got to enjoy cocktails in the bar before being allocated our window seat in the restaurant. I know this is a particularly expensive restaurant, but I feel it was worth every penny. The food was really good and the... More

We visited at 5pm, the restaurant was quiet, no queuing and we had a window seat. Choose beer to keep the expense down, their cocktails are very expensive. Food looked good, but we did not eat, just had a drink and enjoyed the views. I think we paid $8 or $9 for a beer which was the going rate at... More

We visited this 48th floor lounge for drinks, after having a meal elsewhere. Having been before, we were aware that it is expensive. My husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law and I had some lovely cocktails and spent over an hour enjoying the view as the restaurant rotated. Service was great, but at $120 for 4 drinks, inclusive of tax, gratuity and cover,... More

I loved the whole experience of this restaurant on my first night in the city. The rotating 48th floor where the restaurant is based gave one a chance to enjoy the different views of New York City at night. The paper napkins gave an overview of the various sights so it was nice to help geographically orientate what one was... More

This is a very expensive restaurant, but the food is great and the views are definitely awesome, especially considering that this is a revolving restaurant, so you get a whole view of Manhattan from your chair while you enjoy a nice meal. I am not giving 5 stars because I consider it could be less expensive, but otherwise the restaurant... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
