This restaurant was very close to The Library Hotel which was why we decided to eat there. We ambiance was that of a traditional upmarket steak house. The waiter was very helpful in assisting us to choose our steak. We opted for a Porterhouse steak for 2 (not the most expensive on the menu) which came with chips, which are... More

At $52 for a melt in your mouth steak in a fine New York restaurant, this was almost a bargain. Great food, excellent service.

You dont do anything wrong if you go there. It is a bid loud. Service is good. Food is also good, but not outstanding.

Shout out to Ricky, he was a sweetheart waiter, so attentive and kind. Food did not have a flaw. So impressed by creamless creamed spinach; you would have never guessed it didn't have cream! If you're not dining with a big group of guys, steak for two feeds 3 people no problem

We booked at the Benjamin Steak House, so that we could enjoy a traditional Thanks Giving Dinner whilst visiting NYC. I was so pleased that this is where we picked. The restaurant was very festive and the staff were fantastic. In keeping with what I thought Thanks Giving meant (i.e. eating lots!) this restaurant did not disappoint. There was plenty... More

It's a beautiful restaurant with average food. We felt that the service was rushed and have been to much nicer places in the city.

Last Sunday I tried to get into Peter Luger's but didn't make a reservation so, FUGGETABOUTIT. I immediately went to my Zagat Ap and saw Benjamin's Steak House which was close to where we were staying so I said lets give it a try. Very good steak for 2, cooked just the way we wanted it. Waiter was excellent, very... More

We opted for the traditional turkey dinner with all the sides. Way more turkey than I could eat, the stuffing was delicious, potatoes au gratin instead of mashed was the only disappointment. The pie was wonderful, served with fresh whipped cream and a small scoop of vanilla ice cream. Our son ordered off the regular menu, filet mingon, so everyone... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
