Great restaurant! The highlight of my entire NYC trip! We were at the Rockefeller Center visiting the Today Show, we went inside the Rockefeller Center and could not find dining options for breakfast. That is when a police officer recommend Delis 48 to us. This...place had a buffet type style of breakfast or you could order individual food. They had a very diverse staff and a nice eating area on the second floor. It was a great deal and you paid by the pound. (Remember that if you want more food, you can not go back to the line. You would have to pay for another meal entirely.) Would recommend for anyone near the Rockefeller Center.More

We stopped in for a quick bite. They are definitely generous with their portions, and being able to make your own sandwich is very convenient.

Wowser! We were looking for a place to grab some sandwiches and would never have thought of even walking in but the excellent staff at AKA Times Square suggested it...and an excellent choice it was! All sandwiches made to order EXACTLY how the family wanted...them- fresh meats/cheeses/condiments with an AMAZING selection of choices! Quckly became a favorite choice for lunch. We didn't sample the buffet or the array of other choices including a salad bar. And we thought it was a great value for midtown Manhattan.More

Hit the city for a 1 day trip and new I needed a deli stop. This place was clean and had a menu that far exceeded in breath, not depth, what I expected. All kinds of options. I grabbed a Pastrami combo that was delicious,...Dark rye roll, cole slaw and swiss. The guy behind the counter offered to heat it up and it was perfect. Seating upstairs was spacious and comfortable. Reasonably priced.More

Good omelets. Easily made gluten-free with what's available but cross contamination is a possibility. NO GLUTEN-FREE BREADS.

I ended up here when I was across the street at Rockefeller Plaza/NBC/Today show and wanted some breakfast. I walked past Starbucks in search of a place with a better selection of "real food" and ended up here. The large buffet in the middle caught...my attention and the rest of the store looked like it offers just about everything. I ordered two breakfast sandwiches from an employee behind the counter and it was prepared quickly and correctly to order. We grabbed drinks and the price ended up reasonable - about $13.More

Good place for a quick lunch, one can sit upstairs in the mezzanine. There is a large selection of food. Our ramens and the chocolate pudding were worth coming. Price is good value for money ($24 for two), the service is effective and friendly: I...will come back again.More

We stopped in the Delis 48 aproximately 3 time to get breakfast during my November vacations everything was Great, the prices competitive in comparison with Puerto Rico (my residence country). They are open 24/7 so this was convenience.

I have never been at this place before, but came here with out of town visitors who wanted to see Rockefeller Center and have a New York Deli experience. They ordered different burgers. The prices were written on a big sign over the cooking area....But...at the check-out sat a grumpy man who charged much more. Because: one burger had a teensy weensy tiny slice of tomato on it (nobody asked for that but the cook added it), and "that's $1 extra." So is a flimsy slice of cheese. Etc. Everything was $1 extra. The little dab of mustard was also charged (but less than $1, whoohoo?). When we asked about it he said we could "bring back the tomato and get our money back." Seriously? We also bought a bottle of water and took some plastic cups to drink from. Mr. old grump came running, waving his arms, "Cups are $1 each!" Hey, come on, it's a restaurant!? We refused to pay for cups and napkins and he got angry. We overpaid already for our food, but refused to pay for the 3 disposable plastic cups we used. We left with a very bad feeling. Are we lucky we weren't charged for sitting on a chair? I never, ever take anybody back there, horrible place. Is that grump always at the check out or was he a bad replacement for a real check out person?More
