We dropped the bags at our hotel and headed out to get a cocktail. Of course we used tripadvisor and found Niles nearby. It was late afternoon and the bar was pretty busy. We got lucky and sat at a highboy at the front window. It was perfect for people watching. The bar is beautiful with lighted tables and colorful... More

We enjoyed a couple of visits to the bar while staying at the Stewart Hotel - Pete at the bar creates a great vibe where local regulars and tourists visit come together. Pete also gave us some great tourist tips - the laughs we shared were a highlight.

This restaurant is connected to the Stewart Hotel. It has a front bar area and there is a seated area to the rear. The food, service and price are all very good for NY

Arrived in New York tired, thirsty and unsure; Pete the barman made us very welcome and immediately put us at ease. Great draft beers and excellent wines by the glass (some of the best we had in New York), good nibbles too. Pete took time to talk with us even though he had probably had the same conversation 1000's times... More

Spent the evening drinking here. Barmen are great. They stop to chat and ask you about your trip. Came away with great stories of their personal adventures when moving to NYC and also great restaurant recommendations. Measures are nice and worth what you pay. Greygoose & sprite is $10 which great if comparing it to London prices.

My friend and I were staying at the Affinia and decided to eat on two evenings at the restaurant attached to the hotel. We both had the Irish burger on the Saturday evening with fries, gherkins, mushrooms and onion we received complimentary bread rolls and pretzels which we thought was a nice touch, and liked the pot of butter with... This is a great restaurant to conduct business while having breakfast, lunch or dinner. The food is good with reasonable prices and the staff is very friendly and efficient. They do not rush you which is helpful in conducting business.. The location is in Midtown Manhattan, so it is convenient to get to.

Description
Niles NYC is uniquely located in Manhattan's most accessible neighborhood, steps from Madison Square Garden and Penn Station. Niles offers a sleek setting with a contemporary American menu for an entertaining meal from morning till late night. Our semi-private dining room is the perfect place to host your business luncheons and private parties, all tailored specifically to suit your event. Niles is not only a fresh, contemporary restaurant, it’s also a colorful and exciting bar that attracts plenty of locals as well as out-of-towners. Clean iridescent finishes accentuate a huge rectangular bar with seating all around, anchored by a lit-glass decorative column. You can generally count on a lively crowd here at Niles most every night—especially on concert and game nights at the Garden, when Niles often goes into overtime.
