It was a busy place, but our party of 5 was seated right away at 9:00 am on a Saturday. The service was excellent, and the food and coffee was delicious. The prices are about what you would expect in Manhattan. We will keep this place in mind next time we stay in NYC.

went here for breakfast and ordered pancakes with bacon. all our food arrived promptly and the staff were polite and attentive. The food was delicious and only cost $43 for three people which is great value compared to other breakfast places we tried which weren't as nice but cost almost double

We went here despite some of the previous reviews. We wanted a quick and easy breakfast before leaving the city. This was just what we needed. We had good, quick service and classic diner food breakfast.

I went to the ess-a-bagel nearby, but the line was so long that I didn't want to wait. Found this place from the Internet. I had a cappuccino and a bagel with cream and lox. Was delicious! Both for 18.40$. The staff were friendly and nice, the place was half full. Great place for a breakfast!

Location in mid-town near our hotel was very convenient. We were searching for a place for breakfast and just happened across MorningStar. The food was typical diner breakfast of scrambled eggs, home fries, toast and bacon, plus juice and coffee. Everything was fine; nothing to complaint about. Just a decent breakfast.

First time to dine in a diner. The hotel recommended Morning Star for me to try out a local breakfast restaurant. It was a nice experience. The restaurant was busy, have to wait to get a table. I was alone, had no problem getting a seat, by the bar counter. Love the bagel!

We ate some breakfasts, lunches, and dinners at this café during our week in NY. It's an everyday kind of place, nothing fancy, but the service and the food is excellent. It quickly became our neighborhood hangout. The wait staff was friendly and got to know our preferences. The food and service was better here than in some of the... More

I ate breakfast here with my husband. We both order the Eggs Benedict and coffeeand it was delicious. We were given glasses of water upon sitting and both our coffee and water were kept filled without us having to repeatedly ask, which happens a lot. The pancakes smelled so delicious from the table next to us that we decided to... More

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
