Great and unexpected experience. We stayed there over lunch time. Especially the service and the quality of the food was refreshing. Also some new ideas like grilled watermelon and handmade ice cream.

We decided to try this upstairs dinning room over the pub in the William Hotel because of the name and the presence of rhubarb fool and lemon syllabub in the dessert menu. It was a rainy day so the outdoor patio was not available. The...More

My friends and I were very excited to try their signature Sunday Roast since none of us have ever had a traditional English roast meal. While the food was good, it was not nearly enough food. For a meal for 4, we got about 4...More

Had a meal with an old friend and really enjoyed a good burger and a few beers. It is usually very busy so always a good idea to book a table.

Description
The Shakespeare offers well-kept beers and cask ales and friendly service in a casual no-frills environment. Serving a more sophisticated ‘pub grub’ repertoire coupled with a setting reminiscent of a 14th century tavern, the pub is the perfect place to have a pint and grab a bite to eat. We also have two elegant rooms located above the pub, The Peacock Room is modeled after a 19th Century gentleman’s club complete with an elegant fireplace. The Garden Room is decorated beautifully with artwork by Bradley Wood and a stunning Waterford Crystal Chandelier. We are as well fortunate to have Raines Law Room located in the same building at The William where guests can enjoy craft cocktails with a small bite and dessert menu.
