I love every time I go I can't wait to hear the sizzling of the cast iron from the steak and mushrooms with amazing service and great culinary execution! The sushi is fresh daily and melts in you mouth.

I have been here quite some time the past year and always enjoyed the food and atmosphere. Last vist the quality of the food was not what I was used to be. We send even the Miso black Cod back because it was completely overcooked.

I like very much original Nobu in NYC, but this time we have decied to try Nobu 57. They are quite different in concept. If original one is small and cosy, with not many tables which near each other, but quite home style and approach. This one is quite big and looks more touristic, which is not surprise as it... More

My wife and I went for a "date night". We ordered the sampler option and it didn't disappoint. That with a selected bottle of great Chianti and we had a spectacular evening. Service was impeccable and ambiance was fun and casual. We will be back soon!

Not surprisingly, the food looks great, served with style and tastes good. also not surprising that they are overpriced beyond belief. $260 and we left hungry. But at least I can say I've been to Nobu 57. If you are like me, middle class who wants a taste of Manhattan once in a while, go there. If you want to... More

A typical restaurant to enjoy sea food. Service is slick and friendly and the food is creative and interesting as well as original. Would recommend this restaurant for great fish.

David Rockwell, who designed the original Nobu, went to great lengths to replicate the current fashion in New York Japanese #restaurants for cavernous, excessively baroque rooms. There was a spacious lounge downstairs, filled with low-slung cocktail settees and a long bar of polished wood cut from what appeared to be a single gnarled cherry tree. Behind the #bar, columns of... More

Didn't know what to expect as friends had booked for us but what a fabulous meal it proved to be. We took the excellent waiters recommendations and shared plates around the table, every one of them was superb. Great wine list too, including several by the glass, cannot recommend this place highly enough.

Me and my wife visited on New Years Day, the food was amazing, as always the Black Cod was delicious, loved the mini tuna and salmon tacos and everything we had was fresh and tasty. The ambience of the restaurant was lovely considering it was in a modern office block and the service was exceptional!

Description
The first uptown New York location by legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, opened to much anticipation in the summer of 2005. Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature New Style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno and Black Cod Miso, and new creations from the wood burning oven and the hibachi table.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
