We asked around to a few locals about must try's while in NYC. Nobu 57 came up frequently so we knew we had to try to get in. It's was a Friday night and this was one of the hottest spots to get into. We took a chance and walked in hoping to get a no show or cancellation. We... More

We where a group of six people and we loved the place. The service was exceptional and the restaurant itself was cool and beautiful. We arrived 15 minutues too late due to heavy traffic but that was no problem the staff offered us a table right away although it was rush hour! The food was exceptional and definitely worth the... We went here mainly because Howard Stern had raved about it as had other celebs. Food and service were outstanding. We began with the edamame which is steamed or roasted over salt, yum! We then had a mixture of different Sushi cut rolls. We eat a lot of sushi and this was superb. Interesting vegetable one. Had hints of veggies... More

An excellent opening for a birthday evening of dinner and opera: We arrived before the dining room opened (5:45) and found a small table near the busy bar. We would have been happy to just sit and wait there but an attentive server found us. We had time for a kir, Kathy’s favorite “test” of a high-end bar. It was... More

The sushi was very fresh. Different tastes were blended together and was so good. It was my favorite meal my entire trip to NYC. The entire group (some from SF) were very happy with the meal. Would definitely go again.

This place never fails to impress. The food is great, the service is great, although the food and drink are a little expensive, the quality and selection is fantastic. A restaurant I visit frequently.

I can't decide the king crab tempura app or the lobster tacos or the king crab taco (tacos are super little bite size two with an order) Don't waste your taste buds on the tempura, it is from anywhere. But don't mistake that for the king crab tempura app which is by far the best app you will ever eat.... More

I had a business lunch at nobu the other day. As always, The appetizers were extraordinary, especially the miniature tacos The sushi was phenomenal. The Toro was out of this world. My only complaint is you get a platoon of wait people, and never a senior waiter taking care of your table. For the amount of money this meal cost... More

This restaurant is always busy and buzzy! It's quite dark inside and usually noisy too. I know that now and I am prepared for the above. I have been here on several occasions alone and in company and find the sushi and other food Amazing. The sushi so fresh and beautifully presented, their signature black cod dish awesome and overall... More

The first uptown New York location by legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, opened to much anticipation in the summer of 2005. Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature New Style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno and Black Cod Miso, and new creations from the wood burning oven and the hibachi table.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
