Took my wife here for Saturday lunch, and ordered the Nobu bento boxes. Chef was very accommodating in allowing a replacement of the ribeye with sea bass, since my wife doesn't eat meat. Quality of service and presentation are top notch. Sauces tend to be a bit overbearing (especially for the sashimi salad), maybe geared toward American palletes rather than... More

My husband and I visited Nobu 57 on Friday 2/17/17. What a Place! The atmosphere is beautiful. We arrived early for our 8:30 reservation and had a drink at the bar...they were able to seat us early. Tina was our waiter. She was so kind in explaining the menu to us..it is quite large and made suggestions to us...which we... More

With so many amazing sushi spots, this would be a waste of time. It's also very expensive, you would be better off going to 20 other omakase spots to get your premium sushi fix. Skip!

Can't go wrong here for quality of food and service. Japanese -Peruvian fusion specialist Nobu would not have it any other way. It is pricey but well worth every bite.

Great decoration and very friendly staff! Food is simply excellent and very fresh. Went there with my family and enjoyed a delicious meal. Quality means pricey but it is worth the money.

We had a great (and not traditional) Xmas Eve dinner at Nobu. As always, everything was fresh and tasty. Service was on point and the cocktails delicious! For us Nobu it is always a "safe" option, you can't go wrong!

I like to eat dinner there early and later on move to the bar.... It's definitely pricey but it's entertaining. Not for kids...

I went to the Nobu down in Tribeca back in the Spring time and it was great, but it did not beat my experience when I went last week. This place is beautifully decorated and impressive. Our waiter was excellent with us despite how busy they were for lunch. It is family style, but you have the chance to try... More

We had been to the other 2 Nobu locations but never here. It is a wonderful spot for an amazing brunch experience. The meal was fabulous and unique. Noise level was low to moderate and the meal was well paced. Our glasses were kept filled and plates were removed when we were both finished eating. We had a lovely table... More

Description
The first uptown New York location by legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, opened to much anticipation in the summer of 2005. Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature New Style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno and Black Cod Miso, and new creations from the wood burning oven and the hibachi table.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
