Location and contact

The first uptown New York location by legendary chef Nobu Matsuhisa, opened to much anticipation in the summer of 2005. Nobu's co-owners are his longtime partners: renowned restaurateur Drew Nieporent, Oscar-winning actor Robert De Niro, and producer Meir Teper. The restaurant showcases Nobu's signature New Style Japanese cuisine with classic dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno and Black Cod Miso, and new creations from the wood burning oven and the hibachi table.

Besides food and dishes, that was really good both for quality of food and preparation, what impressed me was the attention to details for a restaurant like this. I really enjoyed. Location is cool too. Maybe a little to dark sometimes, but acceptable. Suggested.

Went for a late dinner. Restaurant was still crowded, not noisy . Waitress suggested 2 cold apps followed by 2 hot entrees. We went with her suggestions and had an awesome meal. We had Sashimi Tuna with black pepper and a Scallop dish which incredible....More

I’ve been to nobu in the hard rock and Cesar’s in Las Vegas (we celebrated our 25th anniversary at Cesar’s). Both were unbelievable experiences. I looked forward to nyc. The place looked tired and the people were just ok. Food was great as usual. Our...More

This version of Nobu didn’t disappoint us in anyway but it is one huge restaurant. It has kept the great atmosphere of a Nobu restaurant and of course the service and food are immaculate. I did have a hard time understanding the very friendly and...More

The food was gross and smelt like hot garbage. Not worth the money at all! NYC has much better restaurants for half the price. Don’t waste your time, money, or stomach on this filth.

I wish I had kept a record of what we ate ,but the quality was second to none and the staff made us feel special. Amazing in all regards including the (very hefty) tab.

This place never lets you down, sure it’s expensive, but you can find affordable options. Sushi rolls are $10-15, but the best part of the menu are the hot and cold dishes. Sticky rice, yellowtail jalapeño, toro tartar, lobster and tuna salad to name a...More

First time at this restaurant and I am truly impressed. The service provided by Tahir was down right perfect, to say the least. I was having a Grapefruit Martini and without asking he asked if I liked spicy food and after confirming I did, he...More

This was my first time dining at Nobu and our lunch was extraordinary. Every course was delicious - above any Japanese food I ever had. My favorite was the yellowtail with jalapeño but the lamb chops were a close second. Service was excellent, presentation beautiful...More

I can never get tired of Nobu. I have never had a less than fabulous meal there. Last night was no exception. Excellent service and some of the consistently best sushi. We always order the same wine - the Matsuhisa Chardonnay and pretty much the...More
