We stayed at the wonderful Bryant Park Hotel for our anniversary . There was no question we would stay there and were treated wonderfully. We had dinner at Koi our 3rd time and I am sad to say our favorite waitress is pregnant and won't be there next year. But the food, everything was exquisite from the martinis to every... More

Great atmosphere - packed restaurant was noisy with happy customers and it made for a great night out. I had a calamari started followed by double tuna sashimi, my wife had a mushroom starter (I forget the name) and a duck main - all of which were excellent. Lots of choice on the menu and whilst not cheap it was... More

Three of us had drinks, dinner and dessert here and enjoyed it all! We had a 6:30 PM reservation, and had drinks in the lobby while we waited for our friend to arrive. There are some interesting and unique cocktails that we're glad we tried. We ordered warm spinich salad, edamane, glazed string beans, seafood tempura, tofu and vegetables, and... More

We let the waiter decide on the dishes for us, and we weren't disappointed the sushi was great. The entrees were good, but the sushi was better, if I was there again I would stick with that.

Don't expect traditional Japanese cuisine, but this is a superb spot for gourmet dining. Every course, from cocktails to dessert was beautifully prepared and presented. Our waiter made accurate recommendations, and he was careful to serve us in a timely manner to allow us to get to our Broadway show in plenty of time.

Description
Rich earth tones of orange, red and brown impart warmth to the cool and tranquil space. Thin tapestries of translucent rose fabric are embellished with flame motifs and suspended from the ceiling, creating a separate seating area perfect for a light bite near the large front windows. Famous for its unique and mouth-watering interpretation of Japanese cuisine. Upscale Japanese fare is given a jolt of new life through an innovative use of ingredients, resulting in refreshing and exciting flavor combinations. Crispy Rice with Spice Tuna, an addictive version of the classic spicy tuna roll, featuring warm grilled rice topped with a thick layer of cool, savory tuna. Baked Crab Roll, for which succulent fresh crab meat is wrapped in a thin rice paper dotted with sesame seeds and baked to perfection. Hamachi Fusion with Soy-Citrus and Truffle Essence all artfully plated by Koi’s skilled culinary team.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
