Great food, alright atmosphere, ok service. Make sure and bring money, they don't do CCs. Glad I had money on me. Food had a lot of flavor, but when I needed water I had to wait forever for it. Make sure you ask them for what you need when you see them. If you go alone, they may not pay attention to you

An outstanding lunch! We were wandering around Chinatown after the immersive Van Gogh exhibit, looking for a simple lunch on a sweltering day. Opted to dine in, as the air conditioning was a welcome respite, and were thrilled with a huge menu, attentive service, and absolutely stupendous food! The curry beef on rice was perfect—tender beef and veggies in a curry with just the right amount of zing. My companion’s shrimp with lobster sauce was also pronounced outstanding. Setting is basic but spotlessly clean. Prices were low, portions ample, and there was a brisk take-out business, so the food is obviously addictive. Recommend highly!

The friends I met here for lunch have gone for years and love it. I showed up ten minutes before outer agreed time and they would not let me take a table. I had to wait outside on the sidewalk till my friends arrived and then ask for a table, being told, "Look, we only have 5 tables!" Portions were a nice size and service was fast, despite the busy take-away meals being packaged at the door due to COVID.

I just went there and ate inside the restaurant because there was only one table occupied. Roast pork, dumplings and soup noodles are delicious. They are very careful about observing regulations. Before letting me go inside to sit, they took my temperature and got my name and phone number just in case. If you don't want to do so, don't go there. For me, I felt safe and that they take this virus seriously. I even noticed the thorough way they sanitized the other table and chairs after the guests left. While I was there, I saw quite a busy take out business even before 12 noon, so I hope they will survive as I really like their food.

I recently came here with my husband and toddler and ordered 3 dishes to share. I've been coming here since childhood, but its been a while since I returned, so I completely forgot that this establishment was cash only so my husband decided to withdraw $80 from their ATM to pay for our $48 meal. My husband put down $80 in twenties on the table to give to me and before he could fully remove his hand from the cash, our server quickly scooped it up and brought it to the register. When he returned, he gave us $12 back. We said to him, we put down $80 and he said no, you gave me $60. We went back and forth and he kept insisting that we only gave him $60. It was a short walk from the ATM to our table, so we did not drop a $20 bill, we knew for sure we put $80 down. This honestly left such a negative mark on us, I will never return and I will stop recommending this place to family and friends. Hope the $20 was worth it!

This place offers great bang for the buck, don’t miss it Takeout only now, but nice hearty dishes to enjoy. Highly recommend the shrimp won ton, the beef chow fun (beef noodles), charsiu pork (sweet tasting), the crispy skin pork, and seafood pan fried noodles. It tastes better when you can eat there but it is great takeout for a cold winter evening.

Great NY Noodletown was closed last year for renovation for several months. Pre-covid it had developed a cult following and chefs used to come here after their shift was over. Two days ago, i ate here. The roast duck over rice was a dismal sight as none of the pieces had much meat on them and were bony. The rice also had a peculiar flavor. Two duck rolls were quite tasty. There was a long queue of people picking up meats for the Lunar New Year and so my order took quite a while to come. Even though I my meal was disappointing I will return to have the wonton soups and other entrées. Most of the seating is communal with few separate tables. Business is brisk and one isn’t encouraged to linger. The decor is plain and there are now two clean unisex restrooms at the back.

While visiting NYC my wife and I had to go to the Great N.Y. Noodletown in Manhattan’s Chinatown. Featured in many YouTube Foodie vlogs. This is a popular “old school” Cantonese restaurant featuring various noodle dishes and Chinese BBQ meat delicacies. We dropped by on a Thursday after 1:00pm and were delighted that we were able to get seated on a single table immediately. We were each served hot tea in a glass old school style. We ordered quickly as is usually what the staff appreciates in these small restaurants. Our order of Won Ton Noodles with Beef Stew and Combination Two BBQ Items (Roast Pork & Roast Duck) on Rice came out quickly. We shared the dishes and enjoyed eating good Cantonese food. We both agreed the Won Ton Noodles with Beef Stew was particularly delicious and the Roast Pork was very tasty. Cheap prices and good quick service was a bonus! Fun and a nostalgic experience makes it a worthwhile visit to this iconic restaurant.

A great spot for late night Chinese food. Always busy so prepare to wait. Authentic cuisine and atmosphere, likely to be sharing a table sonetimes but this all adds to the buzz of the place. Obviously noodles are their forte, but the dumplings are something else too. Easy to find at the entrance to China Town from the Bowery side.

Ordered takeout, 1/2 Duck, 1/2 chicken, 1/2 lb. Roast pork. They cut and packed them without letting you see. The duck contains mixed left-over pieces, no decent breast meat pieces, the skin is burnt, obviously reheated. The chicken is poorly cut with tasteless large chunks, hard to bite. The roast pork is obviously short of 1/2 pound, only several pieces at the bottom of a small round container.

Visiting NYC from Calgary with my sisters and had heard great things about this little restaurant. We went there for lunch and it did not disappoint!! We had the wonton noodle soup which was delicious. The bowl was humungous as were the shrimp wontons. The seasoning in the wontons and the broth was very tasty and I don't think there was MSG in there cause I was not thirsty later - bonus!! We also had bbq pork which was so tasty that we polished off the plate even though we each had a huge bowl of wonton soup. The staff was very friendly and efficient. We loved it so much that we went back for supper that evening since it was our last day in the City!! We had wonton noodle soups again, bbq pork and roast duck. It was all delicious!! You gotta eat here!! We definitely will be when we come back to NYC!!

New management. Not the same quality. Living on old reputation. It is really subpar. Trust me, I grew up and know this place. Used to be a favorite local place. If you don't know Cantonese dive restaurant standards, you won't know the difference. I would pass until they get new chefs.

Your typical fast food feeling in an Asian setting- rush to sit, rush to order, rush to get your food out. But so tasty! We had wonton soup and seafood fried noodles. So good. Our neighbors had a meat noodle dish and spare ribs that looked great. Recommend.

Didn’t know what to order. Ordered a shrimp wonton soup with noodles, a duck and roast pork with noodles soup and duck on rice. Simple is better.
