Our lunch was fabulous, beautifully prepared and served by a gracious friendly waiter. Our reservation was for 2:00 p.m. and we finished about shortly after 3:00. During our meal, two different waiters came out and changed tablecloths at adjacent tables. Then they ironed the cloths...on the table.! Disconcerting in a Michelin 2 star restaurant to have housekeeping tasks done in front of patrons. A second odd thing occurred as one of the staff went around changing flowers. Our vase had a dead flower and she reluctantly brought us over a new vase when asked.More

Last week just after an exhibition at the MOMA we went for a quick lunch at the Bar The greeting is always graceful, the flowers are glorious and the food a no brained Anytime I come with someone who does not know it, they rave...about it I always order their tarts flambé, the best in town and a steak tartare with fries et voilaMore

Fantastic. We had not planned a visit but decided after a couple of hours at MOMA to drop by. So glad we did! This is some of the best food we have ever had! The scallops, the sea bass... great wine. And nice people watching...too in this buzz environment. Great staff and service. Would sit here most days if I could!More

As one would expect, impeccable service and a beautiful location. The views of the sculpture garden are delightful. We had a very knowledgeable sommelier and did the wine pairings for the three course lunch. So nice to be in a quiet restaurant too, which seems...to be more and more difficult to find. The food was both beautifully presented and delicious. I enjoyed the fois gras, the arctic chard, and the brioche bread pudding, which was one of the most unique desserts I've ever had. DH enjoyed the cauliflower, duck, and another dessert. The price for lunch are really not that crazy, especially since service is included. We would absolutely return, it was a delightful afternoon.More

Kind of embarrassing that a 2 Michelin star chef gave someone with a gluten allergy breadcrumbs.. The first waiter assured me it was gluten free. After I had already eaten some a different waiter took it away and brought me the gluten free version.. The...apology came after we paid (also for the gluten mistake meal). No apology from the chef (which is weird since it's not the waiters fault, this also made me feel like the chef did not care whatsoever). Wouldn't recommend it to anyone (especially if you have any allergies because it got me really sick). The staff was nice though.More

The bar is more informal, with a view to the garden, but the menu is the same.

The restaurant might accommodate you but at some expense to flow, changing plating and order and organization. I'd offer that it is a mild insult and not on good rooting.
