Don't take my 3 stars as a negative thing because actually the atmosphere, service and food were good but....the main courses are to share as they are enormous which really limits what you can have as a couple and they don't offer smaller portions so if you want to try different things you have to waste loads of food. Also... More

We ate at Tony DiNapoli's at 1:00 PM on Saturday during the Christmas season in NYC. We had made reservation weeks ahead and we were glad we did. We were seated immediately upon our arrival during a time when they were telling people with no reservation it would be a two hour wait for a table. We were disappointed that... More

Really, if you're in Midtown Manhattan thinking about a place to eat with you friends, family, co-workers, this is it! Just off of Times Square. The atmosphere, with all the smells from the kitchen, the cacophony of laughter, conversations, greetings, bustle of wait staff, and the lights of the city through the big pane window, is truly something to absorb.... All around great experience! The food was phenomenal which is high praise coming from Italian heritage. Our server Crystal was exceptional. She made our experience delightful, warm and welcoming. She was always present and checking in to be sure we were satisfied. She even asked if there were any allergy concerns before we ordered. Can't ever remember being asked that... More

...based on value and food quality. Family style Italian restaurant, great food, wine and service. By far the best meal we had in NYC for both quality and value. Wide selection of classic Italian dishes. Near theater district and great for before or after a show.

Very busy place! We ended up eating at the bar so we could not enjoy the full family eating experience. It was very loud and crowded, defiantly not an intimate setting. The spaghetti and neat balls was sub par, not much flavor in the red sauce and the meatballs were tough. The shrimp Luciano was just OK as the shrimp... More

Our family loves Tony's Di Napoli. Food is excellent each time, service is quick, and they don't rush you (despite crowds). Suggest you make a reservation, especially if you are there around the time theater-goers are eating pre-show. Very easy to over-order here - HUGE portions. Servers are friendly and will be honest with you about sizes of portions and... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
