From looking at other reviews here they all seem to show the same poor service! Went here yesterday and cheesecake after reading the sign as we were passing which said "world's famous cheesecake". We looked to sit outside, as the tablets were set up for service, when I walked in the door, an old lady waitress shouted accross the floor... More

Went for breakfast one morning. Good choice of food and quick service. The only downside is that the restrooms are downstairs.

Visited Lindy's off time square in New York City and was not impressed. Service was poor and the cheesecake which came recommended was not as expected. The cheesecake had a sponge cake crust and was more of a fluffy texture. I would recommend another place for cheesecake. Other menu items may be ok, but did not try them.

- Filthy plates and cutlery caked in old food / cheese, never seen anything this bad - Don't look up!!- Mouldy / broken ceiling tiles throughout - Host was rude, service was average at best Real shame as the food was OK but the plates and place were so dirty that we didn't feel like eating, I wish we had... The food was ok. Nothing special. Average service. Had cheesecake to go which was good. Better places to eat locally.

There are much better places to eat than Lindys, McDonald's is even better! My husband had a burger that was overcooked and dry. My son and I had the pot roast which was thinly sliced DRY beef with gravy. And my daughter had the chicken tenders that also were very dry and overcooked. I would say the chicken noodle soup... My husband ordered eggs 'any style' only to be told he couldn't have them poached, it was only scrambled or fried. The breakfast came with coffee and juice, the juice was really small and we were charged full price for a refill even though coffee and juice was advertised as free refills. I ordered a bagel with bacon. The inner... More

We walked past this restaurant a few times and decided to go in one afternoon. We had the oreos cheesecake and a strawberry cheesecake. Portions were very big and worth the price. Very nice cheesecakes too. We were seated right away and the waitress took our orders within 5 minutes of being seated. Great service and food. Would definitely recommend.

I went here for breakfast today. I was immediately seated however the waiter took a while. I ended up leaving. It was extremely hot in the inside. It made it uncomfortable and not worth it.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
