Just got to NYC looking for some food close to the hotel so a couple of blocks away we walked into here. Obviously very american but had a great atmosphere american football on the tvs, different games on 3 screens etc a bit loud but...this is NYC. The waitress came over quickly and was very dilligent and efficient. Really nice, polite, lady, we had our order in front of us very quickly and it was delicious, wewould definately come here again on our next NYC trip!More

We stopped here for a beer after we got off the bus, didn’t eat. I guess the average grade is for the not so fresh Guinness and the rather ho-hum service. The menu looked decent, people who were eating seemed to be enjoying it and...the atmosphere was nice. Of all the Irish bars in New York, this one was good, not great. If you’re in the area and thirsty check it out, otherwise I would not recommend going out of your way for it.More

Lovely atmosphere with friendly, helpful staff. A lovely oasis after 2 hours on the tour bus in freezing weather. Superb beers on draft. Sam Adams Las Iguanitas. Lovely hot, freshly made snacks and excellent portions. Recommend the 2 dishes we had.

Although I was born in New Orleans many moons ago, I have lived in New York City since 1963. I have lived in Atlanta, Boston, London, Nassau (Bahamas), and Kodiak, Alaska. I first went to Molly Wee Pub about eight or ten years ago. I...was with three friends and we went there for lunch. Someone in the group recommended it. I remember being very surprised and pleased with the food and drinks. Over the years, I have gone back to Molly Wee. Mainly for their shepherd's pie and chicken pot pie. Tonight, I was in the mood for chicken pot pie, so I headed to Molly Wee. One of the specials tonight was curried chicken, rice and veggies. I decided to try that instead. Yum yum. The food was delicious. It was during this meal that I realized that Molly Wee might just be my new favorite neighborhood restaurant. As the name implies, Molly Wee Pub is, indeed, a pub. An Irish pub, in fact. But, though its bar is perhaps the centerpiece of the place, there are lots of tables available for customers who come primarily to dine. I always sit at a table. My feelings tonight rather surprised me. But, they shouldn't have. The food at Molly Wee's had been consistently good. The ambiance -- despite being a stone's throw from Madison Square Garden, one block away -- has always been pleasant and never noisy. So, I've decided to share my feelings with you: Molly Wee Pub is a great little restaurant right in the heart of Chelsea and you should check it out. In fact, it may be my new favorite neighborhood restaurant.More

We stopped in here on a busy Friday afternoon before the Billy Joel concert. It was good. Busy. We were asked if we were eating, and we were. I assume this is why we were led to a table. Food was good, service was fast...and efficient. Nice small pub atmosphere.More

Ok, so I love to find a good, friendly pub when out of town. This place was rated high, and decent looking inside. A couple people at the bar ( no one eating). The older lady who was rushing for drinks and food order, very...brusque, and I didn't like how we were treated. Order one round of drinks and just didn't like her attitude, so we decided to have the one drink and move on. I know this is in a touristy (Penn Station) area, but it gives no right to act so rudely when you're in a service business. Sorry you hate your job, or you just didn't like us, but keep the attitude to yourself.More

I had just flown into Newark Airport from Arizona and taken the train to Penn Station, arriving at 11:30 pm. Thanks to Tripadvisor I located this place on my way to my hotel on 29th Street. The place was very busy, crowded, but not too...obnoxiously noisy. I ordered the steak with onions and mushrooms and a beer and it was very satisfying. The service by Kevin from Ireland was very prompt and gracious.More
