I ate several times in this restaurant during a whole week. The decor is exquisite (Waldorf-Astoria), prices somewhat high, kitchen good and stable, service fine. Anytime again!

We often visit NYC and are disappointed with how dead the hotel bar is after dinner. This was so not the case at the Waldorf. The lobby bar, Peacock Allly was full of people when we returned from dinner and a show, so we took two stools at the bar. My wife had their signature Peacock Coctail (which I sipped)... More

The Peacock Alley restaurant in the lobby area has a beautiful bar, ample seating, and early evening pianist performing requested and other popular tunes. The restaurant staff was very attentive and friendly in a genuine manner. Be sure to try "The Peacock" cocktail = like a wedding reception punch with a punch.

This little restaurant in the Waldorf Astoria was pretty full for a Sunday afternoon, but still quiet and relaxing. We had a drink and snacks. Our server was friendly, and thoroughly explained the drinks we ordered (not really needed but nice). And the drinks were great!

Great place to start your evening, perfect drinks, great service and a glass of Pink Champagne to die for. Waldorf is a special hotel and it is due to the service offered by them which is excellent. You may a slightly higher tariff but it is worth it.

I had the immense pleasure of staying at the Waldorf Astoria during my recent trip to New York City. My husband and I started each morning with breakfast at Peacock Alley. Sitting in the grand main lobby area every morning gave us an opportunity to really take in the beautiful architectural details and appreciate the artistry from floor to ceiling.... More

We sat at the bar and had a great bartender who perhaps made the best Aperol Spritz my wife had ever had. A patron sitting next to her dropped a glass which shattered. The shards did not get on us, but the manager, Samantha F whisked us away to a table and kept checking in with us to see that... More

We stopped by about 11am and a enjoyed some very well made bloody mary's and a cheese platter. It was nice to sit and relax and enjoy the grandeur of the Waldorf before they turn it all into condos.

I took visitors from overseas to Peacock Alley for cocktails to show off the glorious decor at this landmark hotel. One friend ordered a mojito, one asked for a margarita. The margarita was apparently not possible, they don't sell "resort" drinks according to the condescending waiter. But then he returned with the other drinks and no mojito, saying they had... More

We were exhausted the evening we arrived at the Waldorf so we chose to eat dinner in the Peacock Ally. Sadly, this is where the first-class service abruptly came to a halt. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
