Quintessential English Pub

A very comfortable and chummy place, if you don't mind cheering on Manchester City or their local New York City FC. A good selection of both American and British beers and ales. The pub food is decent; the chicken tikka masala is my favorite. The bartenders are both capable and friendly.

Visited for a 10 am kick off and was all ready for the game v Norwich in the fa cup. What I didn't know was that even back home people were struggling to watch it as there was no tv coverage. Loads of city memorabilia and the breakfast was great. Would love to go back on a city night match!

Brought my family of four to Mad Hatters for the OU/OSU football game over Thanksgiving weekend. We were visiting from Oklahoma for the holiday and it was great to watch the game with fellow Sooners. Got there about 30 min before kickoff and had to sit on the back patio as the inside was already full. Luckily it was a... More

We went here on our last day in NYC to watch Man City play. It was strange to hear City songs sang in American accents but the atmosphere was excellent, pobably better than watching in a local pub in England There were a good number of people in to watch the game and it was very friendly and good humoured,... I am a big Man City fan so expectations were high - least to say it didn't disappoint. Food was good, atmosphere great and the drinks excellent, maybe because they served my favourite drink, Boddingtons. Plenty of City memorabilia all over the place, so i was like a kid in a candy store, lol.

How many times have I walked past the Mad Hatter and not given it a second thought?!? Well for some reason we decided to go there for lunch the other day - and we were both very happily surprised - good atmosphere and good food. Good neighborhood find! No wonder it gets so crowded at times while so many others... More

we popped in here for a bite to eat and a drink before the New York soccer Derby because of its reputation as an MCFC bar in NYC. The food was good but the service was excellent. Being new to the city we had a number of questions and our waitress was extremely helpful, including writing down directions to the... More
