Great spot with great service! Tiny, homey restaurant with great curry options, large quantities, and awesome naan!
Loved this place. As a local, I have tried many Indian restaurants but Patiala truly sticks out. We had spinach lamb and chicken korma curries. Both excellent. Complemented by excellent garlic naan. A real treat! Excellent service! The staff was remarkably attentive and kind. Great...atmosphere and social distancing. Definitely going back ASAP! Thank you!More
We were 6 and we had 2 waiters. The food and beverages arrived really quickly and it was delicious. They even offered us extra naans! Our waiters would come and pour water in our glasses each time it was empty, they were really attentive and...nice! I highly recommend this restaurant will go again if I have the chance to come back to NYC!More
I stopped in here for a quick lunch and I was not disappointed. The lunch special comes with naan and basmati rice and the portions were huge. Two people could have eaten from it. I also had a chai which was super delicious!
We ate there while in town on business. It's very small; 10 tables. They don't serve alcohol, but I believe it is BYOB (which can be nice, reducing the cost of dinner!). The menu is great, with whole sections devoted to "vegan" and "vegetarian" options....The staff was friendly and helpful. Although traditional, they have an interesting perspective of the influence of the British rule on Indian cooking. It's worth trying. We'll go back.More
It's always nice to catch up home food while travelling. After aeroplanes food for last 24 hours we were very happy to stop for lunch at the Patiala Indian Grill. The restaurant is not big but was crowded. The service was fast and with a...smile. There are variety of non vegetarian and sea food, south Indisn and North Indian dishes and of course chaats on the menu. We asked for medium spicy food and got generous helpings in 10 minutes. The dal tadka, steamed rice, aloo paratha, baingan bartha and rotis were delicious. The location was awesome as it's just round the corner from Fairfield Inn and Marriott and walking distance from Penn Station.More
Allergic to milk and had one of the vegan options. Tasted amazing! Large portions and friendly staff👌🏻
So good we came back 2 days running! Visited with a couple of colleagues from India who loved it too. Food was very fresh and authentic and friendly service. A hidden gem! Try it!
The place is tiny and unpretentious. But forget about size and style: this Indian grill is a little gem not to be missed right opposite the NYC photography and video equipment Mecca that is B&H. Best PaniPuri, yummy Naan, delicious Chicken Tikka, tangy Chana Masala...... all served with gracious smiles and attention by the owner and staff. While we were enjoying our lunch, we noticed those 2 undisputed signs of excellence that build the good reputation of an Indian restaurant: the room was packed with Indian patrons enjoying their own national cuisine while the line of patrons waiting outside to get in was getting longer and longer. Patiala, we love your food!More
