Just delicious. Fresh chicken, fresh veggies, wonderful sauces. We had to wait in line—and would happily do so again. Largely Indian clientele.

Went in for the first time there, there was construction while we eat. The restaurant is over heated. Disgusting smell. Came back 2 days after, was very bad service, construction guys in and out while we eat. The food isn't cover from the construction work....That's where we were eating the bread from. And not covered.More

My husband and I went here last night and I will say the food was really nice, the service however was beyond belief!! We ordered starters (onion bhaji) they were really good but before I had even gotten half way through the waiter came with...my main course!!!! I explained I had not finished my starters but he wanted to take my Plate away in the end I gave it to him and just ate my starter alongside my main. When the bill came they had added service charge and when I explained I did not want to pay a charge for service that was sub standard the owner approached me and made me feel extremely intimidated I insisted the service charge was removed which he eventually did but I must say this spoiled my experience and I would never go there againMore

Very small space in a cozy setting. Attentive staff, quick service, quick food. Not the cheapest Indian food around, but everything we ordered was excellent. Maybe not a good or cheap as Bengal Tiger, but right up there!

This was a small cafe that we managed to sneak into. My wife absolutely loved her tikka Masala. My lamb curry was filled with meat chunks and was very filling. We ordered rice and naan. Loved it. I have come to the conclusion that I’m...not an Indian food person. The quality and taste of what we had was outstanding, but I wasn’t excited about it and my wife loved every bite. It seems that the only Indian food I’m ever really excited about eating is the naan.More

This was our first evening meal in NYC and we were very happy. The staff were efficient, friendly, and very attentive. We shared an appetizer, their signature Patiala lamb dish, rice, nan and 2 desserts; sharing wasn't a problem. The food was hot and the...curry was perfect. My wife is originally from India and was very pleased with everything, especially that the lamb was tender. Wish we could have had a beer with the Samosa Chaat! They have indoor and outdoor seating and both were very busy for a Monday night. Seems like this is a place for locals with perhaps a few tourists like us. It's small but most restaurants in NYC seem to be so far.More

Fabulous food - warm and friendly waitstaff. This tiny restaurant is a gem. We stayed at the New a Yorker and it’s right around the corner. The Gobi with cauliflower was my favorite my sisters both loved the Murgh Saag and the Raganjosh. I did,...too but cauliflower was delicious. Mango lassi also was delightful. We recommend this restaurant highly.More

Perhaps the best Indian I've had in NYC, and definitely the best tandoori I've had anywhere. It's rare to get chicken from the tandoor that is still moist inside and I would go back again just for that. Okra appetizer was also very good.

With only a few tables indoors and even fewer “covid shack” additional tables, barely any décor, dark even in daylight, this unassuming place has truly authentic, complex Indian cuisine. We started with bhajis that were lightly fried, crisp, and not mealy. Then a lamb Madras...had a sauce with little bits of spices that showed how really complex it was. My chicken vindaloo was “fiery” but with a fast rather than slow burn, attenuated by a few potato chunks and a yogurt sauce. It was perfect. We also had aloo paratha that scooped up sauces nicely. The wait staff was attentive, warning about the hotness of vindaloo, and making sure we had lots of water. We plan to return soon.More
