This is my go-to place when I am in Kips Bay. I always stop for an iced coffee - they have regular but go for the flavors they are great. French vanilla and hazelnut. They keep the milk cold not just standing out. The bagels are very good not great - wish they had a darker pumpernickel but they do... More

There are a few things you have to do when visiting New York. First, you've gotta try a "dirty water dawg" and then ya gotta have a bagel. I've heard New York City bagels are much better than anywhere else because of the water, but I think it's more than that. Take Bagel Cafe for example. I stopped in for... More

Good portions, good prices! The coffee is good and the food tasted great. Easy to get a seat in the morning, hustle and bustle vibe. Local joint worth a visit.

Hundreds of places in NYC to get a bagel. Many of them are frozen and thawed. Sort of Lenders like. A dozen or so like Bagel Cafe cook the bagels themselves 5-6 times a day in the store. When ever we are in this part of town we head here for a real bagel and sometimes a smear... Mostly we... More

Bagel Cafe has been around for several years. Throughout the years it has transformed into what I like to call Bagel Heaven. They not only have their expertise in bagels, which by the way is a must try! But they offer a large selection of breakfast and lunch items. The food is always fresh and the service is wonderful! They... More

This place has everything it needs for being a great place to eat, except for the service,it's lousy. It's a great place to have breakfast, the sandwiches are great, good coffe, fruit drinks. It's on the expensive side,to say the least. They have a problem with the orders, check your bill. You may be overcharged. Someone needs to find a better manager for this place...it's... More

There are a bevy of places to get a good sack of fresh bagels at an inexpensive price. This is not one of them. However, the food is fantastic. It's more like a trendy bagel pimp - pushing creative and plentiful options but for a price. The price is worth a once or twice treat type of situation. This is... More

A bewildering choice of fillings and combinations available. The bill for 3 people eating a main, dessert and drink came to more than $50, seemed expensive for this tourist. But all fresh and tasty and a lovely atmosphere. Would go again.
