Nice Italian pizza and wine restaurant. Great wines, ample selection. Good service, friendly family atmosphere. Not fancy, true Italian feel.

This was in walking distance from our Hotel Walker and recommended by a New Yorker we met on the train. It has a very affordable, broad menu with a wine list set up geographically to Italy. Pizza, pasta, salads, soups. Light or heavy meal, big or small, they have it. It is in a family of other restaurants owned by... More

We had read a lot about how good Otto's was supposed to be and it didn't disappoint one bit. Firstly the atmosphere hits you as you enter, its energetic but not frenetic, its well organized without being stuffy and most importantly is so welcoming. We were show to a very comfy booth close to the front of the restaurant, there... More

Went here for lunch after walking around NYU and Greenwich village. Food was very good and seemed of great value for a celebrity chef owned NY restaurant. Had the spaghetti carbonara which was excellent size for lunch or dinner. Also had a pizza with mozzarella prosciutto and arugula which was also great. Could easily split these with someone. Even had... More

Arrived here late one night as it was the closest venue to our hotel. By some considerable margin this was the worst meal we encountered during our stay in NYC. The pasta dishes were made with obviously packet sauces and were reminiscent of my student days and pizzas arrived with virtually no toppings. In their defence, the manager took our... More

Impressive wine selection. Antipasti - cheeses, cured meats, caponata, etc. - were outstanding and pastas were very good. Friendly and attentive service.

This spot was recommended by a local and fit the bill for affordable casual Italian food in a warm welcoming atmosphere. Everything from families with kids and grandparents to young couples having drinks before eating. I chose homemade spinach bagatelle with a bolognese sauce. Melt in your mouth smoothness. My wife had a goat cheese gnocchi which was equally good.... More

Was there with a group of colleagues, and we all had a nice evening over dinner. Only drawback is that the place is very noisy so that it is hard to have a conversation. The food was good, but a bit over-hyped imho. Very much liked the pizza I had (with lots of fresh fennel), and the panncotta was just... More

Have been to Otto several times over the years. All good experiences. My recent visit was somewhat of a letdown. Service was a bit hurried (but still excellent) with the food being the letdown. Started with white bean soffritto and olives which were good. My spaghetti carbonara was exceptionally dry and somewhat bland. My partner's fresh pasta fettuccine with goat... More

From a New Yorker a recommendation to eat here. Tripadvisor gave it a bunch of stars too. Italian foods with variety, great taste and pricing. Wine list is complete for any New Yorker or an Italian. Had the pasta dishes -goat cheese and spinach pasta with ragu tomato sauce. Staying at the Walker hotel so a few block walk to... More

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel.
