After walking the entire uptown and downtown areas of NYC in 3 days, and seeing nothing but fried fatty foods and sugar laden sweets everywhere, we stopped and viewed this salad bar. It is a place where one can design their own salad combination. The shop assistant adds the ingredients on selection, then chops and tosses the salad to your... More

With well over 20 different soups to chose from this is a great quick and reasonably priced lunch option. Not as impressed with the sandwiches but the soup more than made up for it.

Long lines make a visit more then it needs to be in terms of time. then for the price they charge, their soups are just fair.

if you are looking for a quick (except at lunch during the week), tasty, and healthy meal, look no further than Hale & Hearty. They always have a wide variety of soups and sandwiches available, the soups are always piping hot, and it comes with a roll or oyster crackers. A great change of pace from street food.

Nice selections of soups, reasonably priced and with some seating available. If you like tomato soup this is the place to come.

We visited three Hale and Hearty places in different locations in Manhattan. Each had the same and good selections, and with a family of 5, had something for everyone. Need a break from the street hot dogs? Try a great salad and soup. Sitting areas in these places are very small, so you might have to wait if you need... More

When visiting our corporate offices in NYC, we always order in lunch from Hale & Hearty. Lobster Bisque hits the spot and their grilled chicken sandwich isn't bad either. Have yet to meet a Hale & Hearty soup I didn't like - especially on a chilly day.

I just started working in the area and went to H&H twice in my first week because the temperature was in the low teens and I wanted some hot soup to warm me up. The soups were terrific -- better than I expected. And they have such a variety of soups that you have to find at least one that... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
