Good menu, although prices are quite high. But I guess that is normal in this neighbourhood. You can come in anytime. I took lunch at 3.30pm and that is just fine for them.

Four of us ate here for an early dinner after a full day at the Met Museum. The service was spotty with uninterested waiters. The food was acceptable (we had halibut, salmon and chicken dishes) at a price that was out of line for a deli type restaurant. We should have taken other reviewers' advice and skipped this place as... More

This is a friendly place to grab breakfast or lunch when visiting the Met. The coffee was good and the quiche was delicious. The staff was very friendly and it was nice to get away from the crowd after our visit to the Met.

Great Location, I liked the style of the restaurant, but it doesn't quite deliver. The tables for two are too small, and too close together. The food was ok but didn't wow, and the service was ok, but again could have been better. The main issue was that their prices are at a level where you expect everything to be... More

We had just done the Metropolitan Museum on the last day of a short trip to NYC and really wanted to do a proper deli. EAT was exactly what we wanted. Great sandwiches, noisy, snappy service, just perfect.

When we saw the prices, we were expecting a lot more in terms of quantity and quality. Disappointed to say the least. The desserts were generously portioned, but not the entrees. Service was average.

This is an old favorite on the upper East Side. A good spot to get lunch before the Met Museum. Soup, quiche, sandwiches are all good. On weekends for breakfast or brunch there is a wait for a table. Service is quick and friendly. More expensive than you would expect.

We looked up restaurants near the museum of Natual History. More spacious then we thought and we got seated right away around1pm. The restaurant filled upright after we sat. I split the liver wurst sandwich and the sea food salad. Delicious. Everyone in our party liked there food. Though we all felt th food was overpriced.

this is a great place for breakfast, lunch or a snack before or after a trip to the Met. Our bread and soup was really great. The service was terrific. The atmosphere is deli style with lots of lovely treats to buy and go as well.

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
