Visiting NYC from London and was recommended this restaurant by a restaurant critic in London. It did not disappoint, it's cosy, busy and noisy but the food is superb. Staff very attentive and friendly.

I ate a pasta plate that reminded me of when I traveled to Italy. It was authentic and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant.

My wife and I were really looking forward to dining here. I'm sure the food is excellent. It's a small place and they don't take reservations for groups less than 6. We arrived around 930p on a Sat night knowing that we may have to wait for a table. The place was packed with a large group of at least... More

This small restaurant has a nice atmosphere and is a good option to have a decent Italian food when visiting East Village. It seems to be more frequented by locals than tourists. The wine list is simple but you can find a few decent options to pair with the food. Plates are enough for one person and the prices are... More

The place is small and tight. The food was OK. Several of us had the lasagna and it was good. I had the rib eye steak and that wasn't bad. We had the assorted cured meats and cheese and was pretty good. From the raving reviews, I thought it would be better. I guess I was expecting more! It just... More

I was there yesterday night with my 2 old kids, I called before to make a reservation, they told me we can't take reservation for only 3 people, at least should be 4. But finally they took my reservation for 3. As we arrived they installed us in the room downstairs who's clearly not so nice as the principal room... More

We came here with a group of 30. The food was great, as was the service. Our dinner was held in the basement area and with 30+ people it was tight but they made it work. I was pleasantly surprised by this place.

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
