Had dinner at Cipriani's this past weekend. My wife and I both felt like they couldn't have cared less if we were there. The service was very inattentive. My wife had a fish entre that was good. I had the lamb chops and they were awful. A lot of grease and fat with very little meat. There were four very... More

The food is Simply Delicious (and that's an understatement). The service is efficient, helpful, friendly and kind (formal but relaxed). The staff and servers really made me feel welcome (as if I was coming home).

Cipriani is one of the oldest and most fabled restaurants in New York, It is a place to be seen while surrounded by the movers and shakers of New York. The menu is the same both uptown and downtown but the clientele is very different. Downtown is filled with models and young men trying to impress them. Uptown is a... More

From the minute you enter you are treated like they know you. We were seated in a timely fashion. Very small table tops so someone gets stuck w the bread in front of them. The food was good. The Bronzino fish was grilled to perfection however the tuna was way over cooked what a shame. They did prepare another tuna... More

I loved my dinner there - it was so similar to Harry's bar in Venice, from the décor to the food, to the level of service. Have the baked pasta, unbelievable.

Wonderful staff who made you feel like you were an important guest. The homemade pancakes are the very best.

I have eaten here several times but more recently enjoy the tranquillity of breakfast here. Yes it is a little bit more than you would pay elsewhere but the service is excellent. The rather antiquated trousers only rule is ridiculous in the summer heat but otherwise it is well worth splashing out

We like this place. Every year we come to New York for a couple of weeks and every time we go to Harry Cipriani once or twice. It could just rely on its name or live off its reputation, which their London branch does, and serve formulaic fare in a complacent way but it doesn't. Service is efficient, but still... More

Staying in Upper East Side

Neighborhood Profile
Upper East Side
Combining quiet residential neighborhoods that have easy access to Central Park with world-famous cultural institutions, the Upper East Side is one of the most livable places in the city. Along beautiful Fifth Avenue, you’ll find Museum Mile, which houses many of the nation's most famous attractions in a single stretch, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Guggenheim Museum. Walk a few blocks into the neighborhood, and you’ll come to Park Avenue, the poshest address in the city, lined with grand apartment buildings as far as the eye can see. Even if you can’t afford the luxury goods along Madison Avenue, it’s still a great spot to window shop an afternoon away.
