Dined here with a friend while in NYC and she selected this restaurant for dinner. We had a great time! We were seated at a table by the window which was just so nice considering it was a gorgeous summer evening. But it was the service that made this place so special. Our server was so helpful - she made... More

If you want a special, unhurried and relaxed place to dine, here it is in Greenwich Village: the food is superb; the service not merely friendly but warm and gracious, and the atmosphere relaxed. Every time we eat there, we cannot wait to go back. This is the place we take our friends for a special ocassion and they are... More

We ate here on a Living Social voucher. They treated us great. The food was very good, the ambience was nice. We ate on Halloween, one block from the Greenwich Village start of the parade, so there were definitely some characters running around. I'd recommend it. We enjoyed ourselves.

I thought this place was the best deal in town the first time I went there, and I am a New Yorker. I have now been to this place at least 10 times over the last few years and can attest that you get very tasty French food at an amazing value with the Groupon: 2 apps, 2 entrees, two... More

I was lucky enough to buy a Groupon for a three course meal with a bottle of wine at this restaurant when I went to New York. My girlfriend and I each had an appetizer, main course, and dessert accompanied by a bolt of Pinot Noir. We shared each other's choices and enjoyed our earl immensely! The pissaldiere was wonderful,... More

On December 26th a group of 20 of us descended on Chez Jacqueline for a Day after Christmas pre-show dinner. Our group is not for the faint of heart, but the staff was fantastic. They catered to our every need. The food was very good, but unfortunately the kitchen could not keep up with our orders. Some of us at... More

Best service I have ever had in a restaurant. Manager is a class act and runs the restaurant as if every customer if his top client. Food was decent but nothing out of the ordinary, atmosphere is quaint. Will return based on service alone.

We visited with an expired groupon but still worth face value of $60. They full menu was open to us and we enjoyed most of your options. The specials included a "home made caesar salad with anchovy dressing" and it was "too small to split". We both ordered and I would say could have shared but it was pedestrian...no anchovy... More

This intimate restuarnt has been a Village staple now for 30 years. Originally a few blocks away on King Street they have been at the present location for a couple of decades now... If you like French Bistro cooking then this place is a great choice...very reasonably priced for the service and quality of the food. Have never been disappointed.

Someone once said that if you were a French chef who needed to go back to your roots, you would go here. A small lovely restaurant off the beaten path but easy to find. All the menu is good. Do try...

Staying in Greenwich Village

Neighborhood Profile
Greenwich Village
Commonly known as “the Village” to New Yorkers, it was here in Greenwich Village that both 1960’s counter culture and the LGBT movement were born. Famous for its bohemian past, head to Washington Square Park to get a feel for this diverse and energetic neighborhood. You’ll find NYU students, street performers, skateboarders, kids frolicking in the fountain, and locals relaxing and playing chess. Stroll the streets to discover a mix of majestic town homes and hidden bars and restaurants that give this neighborhood an old-school residential feel. When the sun goes down, check out one of the famous jazz or comedy clubs that still packs them in every night.
