I went to the restaurant on the recommendation of 'Eric's New York Trip', and it did not disappoint! Only had the medium pizza (the smallest size that they offer) and it was more than enough for me. However, the only thing I found a bit surprising was the price. $23 was the total mine came to, and I only had... More

There are many places in New York to get pizza and even many named John's. For us, John's of Bleeker is the best. Thin crispy crust with flavorful toppings. A staple of every visit to the city. Small place, sometimes there is a line, especially in the summer, but the wait is not usually too long.

If your are in Greenwich village and looking for a traditional New York pizza, stop looking, this is the place. For a couple or with friends, the location and the place are great.

My wife and I were recommended John's of Bleecker Street by our Highline and Chelsea tour guide, as it had authentic New York-style pizza. The place and the food were up to expectactions and, although it is not the best I've ever had, it is definitely very good and very 'natural' and home-made. There are no ready-made pizza styles that... More

As a born and bred new yorker i was slightly embarrassed that i have never eaten here before. My husband and i had some downtime after our wedding and before our honeymoon and decided to stop by. It was pouring rain out and when we sat down we were sopping wet and one of only two couples there that day.... More

Wanted authentic NY style pizza. Maybe I was expecting to much, but I thought it would be better. Ok service. The Brooklyn Summer Ale was good. Tried the Bleeker Street pizza to compare and this was much better. Lots of history and on many peoples best pizza list. Worth a visit.

John's is one of the best traditional pizzeria's in NYC - maybe even the best. Great sauce, great crust, and the right amount of cheese. You can only order by the pie - one pie is good for two people. Calzone's are also good, but the plain pizza is the way to go. Very affordable.
