Thin fine crust. Fresh ingredients. This pizzeria was recommended to us by a genuine Sicilian native.

Recommended in the NYC Rough Guide - never a guarantee- but this time the recommendation was true to its word. In danger of a cliche - this was good honest food. They don't do pizza slices, just the whole thing - I think it was $18 for an 18 inch pizza which was great value . Each additional topping was... More

A NYC pizza institution have been going here for over 20 years from time to time. Try to hit it on off hours to avoid the crush of a crowd (we just went on a Sunday around 5 today, have also recently gone on weeknights before 7). Usually order a simple large pie with sausage. It's simple and delicious and... More

Large group attended for dinner last Sunday. 9 of us in total. We queued to get a table but we're told until the entire party arrived we couldn't get one. We then queued again only to be told for a large group there was a 15 minute wait. Had they put the request in first time we queued the whole... More

And you can sit down, unlike many of the great NYC pizza joints where standing at a counter is more the norm. Pizza was very good.

Really cool building, great architecture, and phenomenal pizza. It was fun watching them create the pizzas. The pizza was great, service was great. We will definitely be back!

This place was fast paced and tasty. I would say a microcasm of NYC. The service was well paced and impersonal but sufficient. We had a 30 minute wait for a table at 6:00 which was just enough time to grab a brew at the bar. The Margherita pizza and the Pepperoni w/Garlic pizza were both very tasty and my... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
