Went here for a what was supposed to be a nice evening meal but the prices of pizzas are ok for a large as could be shared with 2 people but toppings and the drinks were expensive - $15 dollars for Ice cocktail? We ordered a garlic bread for a starter, which came basically just bread with a tiny bit... More

I can't visit New York with my daughter without a visit to John's. It's her favourite pizza anywhere. The 5-star rating is her's. People often say it's expensive, but I don't find it so. Everything is shareable, so we find at the end of the meal the price per person is less than most other restaurants. Food is cooked fresh,... More

Delicious pizza and salad to whet anyone's appetite, in a cozy restaurant that is actually a lot larger than you'd think. Don't worry about the line at the door, since it moves pretty quickly. Definitely a top notch pizza joint in my books.

John's Pizzeria came highly recommneded by our native NYC tour guide and it didn't disappoint. We did have to venture out from our Time Square hotel to West Village, but it was well worth the subway ride. The pizza was delish..Not greasy at all! Thin crust, baked in a wooden oven with lots of my favoriate toppngs. Service is great... More

We visited John's around 2pm on a recent cold afternoon. The dining room is teeny tiny, but we got seated right away. Our waiters tag-team helped us and we were quickly on our way to trying this much-accoladed pizza. While we waited we enjoyed a local brew on tap (excellent - I think it was a Brooklyn brew). Our pizza... More

Johns on bleaker is a must for thin pizza pie. The pizza sauce is incredible. The service is always prompt. I will go to Johns when I visit New York until the day I die!

Skimpy on toppings, mostly dough & now overpriced. Used to be the best but now they charge $25 for one topping pizza with tip and no drinks and hardly put any toppings or cheese. My pizza was mostly one large piece of pizza dough. See photo! Will never return! Either return to the quality John's was known for and stop... More

I lived in Italy for a year and my boyfriend is Italian... we found this place online and loved it. It isn't the exact same as Italian pizza but it's as close as you can get. The pepperoni was fantastic and the meatball was also great. Toppings are a bit expensive at $4 each, but 5 people easily shared 2... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
