I tried both the Italian special and chicken parm baguette. I wouldn't recommend the chicken parm but the Italian special is out of this world!!! It is HUGE and just absolutely delicious.

Stopped here after a food tour. So many great meats. Got some prosciutto and rare roast beef for home, so good. The Arancini we had during the tour was great!

This place was the most hyped stop during my NYC trip. I'm happy to say it exceeded my expectations. The joint was crowded, but they had a large crew of people ready to help behind the counter. Less than 5 minutes after yelling my order, a massive sandwich loaded with amazing meats and cheeses was in my possession. I wandered... More

One of my co-workers lives around the corner from Faicco's so she will usually bring sandwiches for us for lunch every couple of weeks. This place is top of the line. The hero sandwiches are so big you will have a difficult time finishing them and have to save half for later in the day. I love the Italian sandwich... More

I saw this place on the food network one night and my boyfriend and I decided to take the trip all the way from CT. We stayed overnight and purchaded the Italian Special to take for the ride home. Let me tell you, this was the best sandwich I have ever eaten. This place is no joke. I seriously am... More

I don't eat cold meat but I fell in love with the famous Italian shop Faicco's. This shop was in our West village food tour which we sampled from it smoked sausages and delicious rice balls. After completing the tour we returned the next day and took some smoked sausages; It is that goooood. Best cold smoked sausage I ever... More

Stopped here for lunch. Got the italian sandwich and walked to Washington Square Park to eat lunch. The sandwich was huge and heavy. Packed with ham, salami, sopressata, cappicola, prosciutto, a thick slice of fresh mozz. And just enough vinegar on the bread to drip when you bite into it. Delicious!!

The entire menu looked great - all sorts of delicious Italian sandwiches and a shop of the best Italian items available for home cooking, too. If you are into great sandwiches, this is a spot to hit! Side note: one sandwich could easily be cut into half, if not thirds, as they were almost too stuffed with meats/cheeses!

Just wow! A must. If you're staying in soho or Greenwhich, do whatever you can to eat at this place. The chicken cutlet and prosciutto with pesto and mozzarella is mouthwatering. Make sure you get them to toast it, to get the cheese melting! It is something out of a movie scene, and the guys that work there are fantastic.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
