I love Brazilian food and Emporium didn't disappoint. We had a couple of seafood options including shrimp stew and founder. Both were excellent choices and although were are in NYC for only 3 days, we will come back for dinner. The services excellent. Prices are...More

They may have been the best black beans that I have ever eaten. The empenadas were fantastic. Beautiful atmosphere. Good service. Started with lightly toasted bread and butter. The caiprinhas tasted just like in Rio.

Met a business contact at this modest yet upscale Brazilian restaurant in little Brasil in New York today. My steak Caesar salad was very good. Ambiance was agreeable and wait staff professional and helpful. Overall a very nice lunch.

My medium rare sirloin came butterflied into two halves and cremated. Being British and hungry I didn't complain. Service was average at best. Constant refilling of wine glasses is intrusive.

Description
What sets Emporium Brasil aside from others restaurants is definitely our food. This may seem obvious, but it is based on our customer feedback. On top of that, many people recognize how reasonable our prices are and we are sort of known for being a hidden gem in NYC. When a customer walks into our business they can expect a friendly atmosphere where you have a meal with family and friends. While outside everything and everyone is, busy and rushed, at Emporium Brasil you can have a meal while cocooned in a peaceful environment. The flavors are pungent and unusual in everything from hearty stews to rustic grills and delicate sautés. Emporium does have a way with beef, and a Latin flair for the dramatic-steaks arrive on sizzling platters, and all the food is rolled out on tablecloth-covered carts. There is also Samira, our executive chef, who provides an adventure filled culinary survey course in Brazilian cuisine, one of a sort not fount in most New York City Brazilian restaurants.
